So here is my take on MY CT. First off I love it and it has been a great vehicle so far. That being said, here are MY issues:
1) Foam below tonneau cover cap was put in with two pieces and leaking into bed at the gap. Minor issue but two hours worth of work to remove, replace(1 single piece), reassmble.
2) Passenger door misaligned and sagging. Pain in the butt to do but was pretty easy. Align, close, realign, close, repeated several times. Used a transmission jack and simple sockets.
3) Loose trim around top of doors. Once again, easy fix, but time consuming having to remove assorted pieces to get to area.
4) Loose hitch cover plastic. Took out the plastic push/turn pieces and replaced with Stainless bolt and wing nut. Plastic pins were loose.
That’s it. Yes dealer would have fixed but didn’t want the truck sitting there for god knows how long. Plus I know it is done to my standards. However the truck is going back to the dealer for a panel that was heavily buffed and has some pretty bad swirls. Dealer agreed. Also my seat has the tendency to shift, like its loose going around turns. And finally, the Windshield washer fluid hose is loose and spraying fluid inside the frunk area.
Like I said dealer would have covered all of these things but I enjoy tinkering with my vehicles.
Final Grades:
Fit and finish- B-
Steering- A+
Performance- A+
Electronics- A+
Battery- B
Battery while towing- C ( I know it takes more energy to move heavier loads!)
Overall Coolness- Off the charts
Awesome! Thanks!

That sounds worthy of a class action lawsuit, would you join me, sore cheeks can turn into a serious medical condition and I'm holding Tesla accountable! ?

/S

Honestly, this has been the best experience of any new car purchase in my life! Almost two months later and I'm still in awe every time I drive it. I feel so fortunate to be one of 10K people to be using it already. I feel sorry for all the sorry SOBs who don't even know what they're missing, due to all the negativity we are constantly bombarded with from the loudest voices trying to reign in all the positive vibes!
Love it!

Picked up my Beast yesterday. Other than that the drivers door should maybe close just a smidge tighter, no issues. I'll probably just see how to adjust that myself.

I picked up my Cyberbeast on May 24th. I have had ZERO issues that I needed Tesla to resolve. My panel gaps are great, every button works, outlets everything.

Only issue I had was the sunroof glass has this black goop glue dried onto it from someone's hand in the factory. Slightly larger than my hand but I can easily tell it was a few fingers that touched the black window glue then the window during install. We scraped it off with our finger nails though. So no harm.

Wind noise when doing 70+ on the highway, but the amazing speakers easily cover that up. I'm hoping some after market products are made that can reduce the wind noise hitting the front of the truck.

Overall extremely well built Cyberbeast so far. Also part of the reason why I went with the Beast over AWD was I felt deep down the employee's would care just a tiny bit more when building it. I wish I could send them all doughnuts or something nice they could enjoy while working.

Great summary.

My pet gripe is no data on any of the USB-C ports. It seems hard to fathom if their integrated wiring is essentially doing power over ethernet. Could they be worried about hacking, securing the only hard data connection in the glovebox?

In the early days of the Model S for those who waited over 5 years on the TMC forum after placing their deposits to get their vehicles it was actually a rather similar scene back in 2012-2013. There were a very similar number of complaints. Issues with the AC and in particular the defrost, concerns about range reduction in cold temperatures, and of course at the time there were no superchargers which created a lot of discussion about where to charge when not at home if your employer did not offer charging at work.

I don’t see this as much different. Just my two cents, FWIW.

Cheers
No superchargers in 2012? I’m not sure where you live, but my 2012 MS 60 was purchased in NJ, and I once drove it to Savannah, Georgia using 6 superchargers going, and only 5 for the return trip. Other than that trip, I regularly used multiple superchargers in NJ, & NY. My work involves multiple sites, and I usually drive 1000 miles per week. Since I had forever free supercharging, it was not an expense. Eventually, I installed a HPWC in my home. BTW, I recently sold this vehicle. It had 227,000 miles on it, ran and looked like new, and had no initial production issues. Yes, there were some repairs, both in and out of warranty, but in 10 years of ownership, relatively few. That is why I continued to buy other Teslas!

My 2 cents into this mix.

I like my truck and have no regrets.

Cars are expensive, but still 100k for a truck is a lot of money. I find myself working to ignore some of the things i feel they should have implemented at 100k but didn't eg. a multi-functional tailgate, reasonable frunk, heads up display etc.

Musk isn't helping Telsa right now.
He's free to share his perspectives but it comes at a cost (and that is hurting the market value of the trucks).

I’ve had mine for a little over a month and no issues
I’ve had my CyberBeast for 3 weeks and over 2100 miles with no issues. It is an amazing machine. Of all the Teslas I’ve owned, this is the best, although my 2023 MX Plaid is the best car they make IMHO.

My interpretation is similar, but different.

They don't "poke" at the Cybertruck because it's a "rich-boy toy", they try to position it as a "rich-boy toy" because they are afraid blue collar workers will start buying it, instead of their current favorites, the highest profit margin trucks and SUVs from Toyota, GM, Ford, Dodge and the rest.

The media has an interest in it because they get a huge amount of their advertising revenue from the auto industry (but zero from Tesla). So when legacy auto loses market share, their advertising budgets shrink proportionally.

The oil companies and legacy auto have an interest in it for more obvious reasons. All-in-all, it's a full court press to position the Cybertruck as a loser product for rich kids. They want to make regular new car buyers think they don't want one. Even a decline in sales of legacy trucks and autos of only 20% would be a disaster for all of the above financial interests for these reasons:

Oil and gas: As gasoline become a smaller part of their product mix, it does very bad things to their cost efficiencies. Upset that balance and either profits crash or (more likely) prices rise and cause an accelerated migration to electric vehicles across the board.

Legacy Auto: Profits are very dependent upon maintaining high volumes of their most profitable vehicles in order to cover very high fixed costs (corporate skyscrapers, engineering and design studios, factories, management compensation, design and development costs, etc). As the volumes of their most profitable vehicles fall 20%, profits crash, perhaps to zero and below. They have to raise vehicle prices which makes EVs more affordable, relative to gas cars, and that further accelerates the transition to electric vehicles. It's a snowballing effect.

Big Media: Falling profits in the oil and gas industry, and falling sales at legacy auto, cause falling advertising revenue (and Tesla buyers are not contributing to the cost of running these media empires). The media cannot exist in its current form with falling revenue. And what if Ford and GM and Stellantis and Toyota and many of their suppliers (who are also good advertising clients) go bankrupt? The media is trying to keep their clients alive (and Tesla is not their client).

This is why I shake my head when people try to position most of the Tesla negativity on simply wanting more clicks. That's just the tip of the iceberg. This is not a wild conspiracy theory, it's called "Follow the money". Hundreds of billions are on the line. Never under-estimate the power of that to create a "full-court press" of multiple diverse financial interests, all trying to prevent Tesla from effectively scoring. I didn't even mention legacy car dealerships.

I had the same concerns and had to remind myself that we only see a subset of owners experiences, and negative ones are typically what gets shared. I have had my truck for about 2 weeks, 600 miles, and no issues. There are two small scratches I’ve noticed since taking delivery, the tonneau seal is starting to want to come out, and a couple misaligned panels, but otherwise flawless. I’ll get those fixed when I can. So glad I pulled the trigger.

Except that Tesla has a lot of experience under their belt and clearly had many many months of testing that went on. Of course, some of it looks like PR instead of testing where they were just driving around trying to get their picture taken and get some buzz going :)

I have had my truck for about 2500miles in a few 300 round trips one 800mile trip… it’s been great! I was nervous but had a 3 hr drive home from Delivery day one in rain.
I had all the fear from people saying the wipers break and the car would just die on the side of the road, yet had a great trip with zero issues! It’s been awesome. That said, I’ve owned three Teslas and was used to all the tech. I think some people are overwhelmed by it the first time they get in a Tesla( and it seems for many this is their first Tesla). I can barely drive an ICE vehicle now. So the learning curve for me was still pretty smooth, but still Took some adjusting of my habits and reflexes. It’s a great truck. I’m tired of everyone asking me or telling me about all the problems I might have or if I’ve had them. The internet is doing a great job of making a negative opinion. Yet , again, I’m used to this as a Tesla owner over the past 5 years. People have so many misconceptions and the pseudo-recalls that are fixed with software updates really confuse folks. But whatever I have my awesome truck and people will be mystified by it for the next few years until more are in the road.
"I can barely drive an ICE vehicle now." ain't that the truth. I don't have a CT yet, just the Y. today I had to take my truck and gassed it up while I was out. $50 for 3/4 a tank just seems like a lot of $$

"all the negativity we are constantly bombarded with from the loudest voices trying to reign in all the positive vibes!" yep there is a lot of negativity driving the Tesla stock and Tesla sales. The question is this: Are the negative comments organic or manufactured by paid individuals. . I'm suspicious of the Wall Street analysts being pressured by those corporations that stand to lose Billions. maybe they are not, I don't know. Get some popcorn and watch the movie "The Tucker, a man and his car"

Texans probably shouldn't moan about gas prices, Texas has some of the cheapest gas in the developed world. $50 only gets you around 10 gallons in Washington State and we are surrounded by oil refineries! Our F-150 has a 36 gallon tank so 3/4 of a tank is more like $130.

And I can't complain when I see what our friends in Canada are paying!
