Thanks. I didn't know anyone made a 4695. Still 3 years is a lot of time for chemistry improvement. LFP explains the low cost. It will weigh 4 tons.

Inspiration… Golf Syncro. Loved that thing.

It's a hatchback. There are a lot of cars like it out there.
Except for the CT, all the Teslas and similar cars are looking the same (bubbly) for aero but Rivian has figured out aero in a more normal design (good YT videos on all the tech tweaks the did for that).

Yup, and the utility value of the cybertruck would triple, no clue how Rivian is beating Tesla in the range game, and by the looks of it...price

R2 wins:
1. Structural battery pack. Hmm, sounds like using a Tesla idea (as was building an EV)
2. 4695 cell size.
3. Fold-flat rear (and front) seats. This almost nudged me to buy the X over the Y. If not for pending Cybertruck...
4. FSD aspirations. Hope they pull it off. Current R1 don't seem to have much hope for anthing advanced like Tesla FSD, such as auto lane changes, ability to drive confidently on twisty mountain roads while in autonomous mode.
5. NACS (die, CCS, die!)

BTW, watched some videos. R2 looks normal - R3 looks like an old budget wagon. I like the design otherwise. Hope they can survive and prosper.
