My best guess is that Elon needs to drive up demand IRL. He needs to show potential buyers the actual truck in the flesh. So my thinking he is sending these to the most popular dealerships before the the unveil so ppl can see touch and sit in it b4 they start deliveries. A truck like this isn't something like a sedan or SUV, people need to see the shear size and all the cool features for themselves. Specs on a screen doesn't tell the whole story. Can't wait!

unfortunately, they are nowhere near distributing RCs to dealerships

these are early RC builds, being shipped around for various testing and related production validation purposes

I don’t say any of that to be a downer, but instead to maybe throttle down disappointment

this is the normal and expected process and timeline.
