no I’m notYou are basically saying that buyers are not satisfied because they believe the "urban myth" that buying cars is a bad experience.
I’m saying I suspect buyers are saying they’re not satisfied for a mixture of various reasons, each unclear in their relative magnitude, and among the reasons appear to be several that possibly reflect more on the buyers than the dealerships.
that is a very different point than the one you attribute to me
AND, I’m separately saying that people who come in saying in effect “everyone knows Tesla’s way is better in all respects” appear to me to ignore the cacophony of even Tesla loyalists to variously express frustrations and disappointment in Tesla’s model.
all of which, to me, comports with a basic universal truth regarding such convos:
both models have their strengths and weaknesses, both models have areas they can and should improve, and an individual’s preferences for either model will depend on the circumstance.
As a result, I’m suspect of anyone whose world view is so confidently reduced down to a platitude like “traditional dealers bad, Tesla’s good.”
especially because, those same folks tend to go on and evidence a very rudimentary and uninformed agility with the way these two different business models work in practice.
Afterall, it’s no accident they both continue to exist in the marketplace, and both continue to adapt to market pressures.
