Delivery was 5/2 and I failed to check the wiper. Turns out it does not work at all (never has) and I opened a service request. At first Tesla was communicating as if it needed to be "checked". Then suddenly said, we won't have the part until next week we need to push your service appointment. Okay - it's been 3 weeks and it's one more week - ugh. But then the service appointment shows up for a month out, so I message them and crickets for several days.
I'm not sure how many others are having an issue with the wiper function. Seems like it may be somewhat isolated, but a known issue. My first Tesla, but is service usually this slow to both get the vehicle in and communicate? I've seen other folks getting the wiper motor replaced, I'm wondering if they are now reworking it in some way or if service is just really that backed up.
