They do have it. They replaced mine at the beginning of April. I know it is new, checked it after the service visit. Taking it in today to get more slats put in.
Tesla service added a couple slats and made the cover close tighter on the tailgate. Little water still gets in but nothing like it was before, happy with the outcome!

Just dropped my CT off at the SC last Friday, picking it up a week later in worse condition. Tried to open the cover and the rubber sides fell off as well there is a grinding noise and the cover won’t close all the way now.

I had mine done . Noticed the cover to be more of a rattle but certainly not like yours . Clearly they need to fix it

That’s clearly an improperly fitted tonneau … need to go back . Suprised they released it like that .
I always walk through and test everything after service complete. I have had them damage paint and hide it from me on my model S, I go back in right away and go full Karen on their ass.

Tesla service just generally doesn’t care.

Yup. Always fully inspect your vehicle after any repairs. I’ve experienced issues with repairs 2 times with the CT over the past 3 months. I def feel like the techs still don’t really know how to work on the CT (even though the service manual outlines a lot of stuff).

Wow glad I stumbled on this thread !

Mine is early 24’ build.

It’s going in this week for the rear glass and drive inverters.

I’ll add the flex cable and additional slats to my ticket! Lfg
What is this about the flex cable? What is that part and what’s wrong with it?

Similar to my experience.

There’s a long, flat data cable that runs along the floor from the front to the back. Tesla issued a service bulletin to check that the cable was properly routed, because it could fray and short.

https://service.tesla.com/docs/Serv...004_Install_Flat_Flex_Cable_Harness_Guide.pdf

Personally I’m not interested in the inspection, as the cable runs under the carpet, and thus inspecting it means pulling the carpet, the seats, and the center console.

I got mine done yesterday by the Jacksonville FL SC. Everything they did so far looks good and it is working fine. No more leaks in the vault ether (I tested). I had much water leaking in before fix. Pics of invoice also for this fix. They started fixing at 11:00 am and finished at 1:00 pm.
