I had a chance to check few cybertrucks at tesla repair center and all had the last slat missing and holes exposed. I talked with a few guys there and it seems like all recent cybertruck like this. It is considered normal. I guess unless there is an official guidance from engineering we should not expect any fix.

I think I’m just gonna slap a strip of FlexTape on the underside and call it good.

I had a ticket open. They checked few vehicles and all the same and considered within spec.

Mine doesn’t show that perforated section as much but it is letting tons of water in at the front of the bed. I expect/assume there will be some leaking near tailgate but the last 2 days of rain have the whole front wall/window area soaked and water pooling a bit. Set up a service for this and some door alignment and hoping it can be resolved.

please let us know how the service goes? if they actually resolve the issue. or if they worked on it and the issue is still there and the same.

Its not waterproof. They've never said its waterproof.

I have a similar issue with a little water in the bed at each end.

My tailgate needs a slight bit more adjustment to close a bit tighter on one side.

The back may need another slat. I will have to book a SC appt.

My truck has the same issue. SC tried adjusting it and the gap remained after that. Truck gets a little too wet. So I checked the truck on display at showroom. It didn't have anything like this. Reported back to the SC. Let's see how they address this in the next visit.

In most cases, the circled part is your main source of leak, not the X location.

Couple months ago I opened a service ticket and provided ref to the noted Tesla service Bulliten. took my truck in, believe the Bulliten recommends adding a slate. The original gap was taken care of.
