Hi all,
So, for some weird reason, I thought the vault divider came with the FS, but was sadly mistaken. Went to order one from the Tesla Shop just to realize it cost $350. Quite a jaw dropping price. Come on, Tesla!

Question for the group, is it worth the price? I know many of you had troubles installing it. I feel like I have to get it to prevent totes and other items from sliding around, but $350?!?! *sigh*

I wish there was aftermarket versions available.

Did you get a voucher for $2500 yet? I did and bought TWO and I love them That was the only item I really wanted/needed and the rest was just to use the rest of the voucher, you don't get to save any of the voucher, one purchase, spend it all! I bought two more ties downs, two cleats in case I go on a cruise(lol), Set of tires chains, two tumblers, a blanket for my woman, the thing to hold the charging adapter in the door well, the two molle panels, the universal wall charger, I am still waiting for the tire chains, the blanket and the door dock holder thingy. Free stuff is awesome

I didn't receive my voucher yet, but was reserving it for the tent which will absorb my entire voucher unfortunately.

Ouch. The tent is over priced, as most things these days are, but there are aftermarket alternatives that are much cheaper. I think there is a sponsor on this forum that has one but I have a camper so I am past the tent camping.

No complaints on pricing for Tesla accessories, take a look at Rivian, GM or others if you think you're getting ripped off. The Vault Divider is cleverly engineered and rock solid but....fitment can be an issue.

I picked up the mud flaps ($100 for OEM and 15 mins to install, heck yes), rear underseat storage tray (awesome for $250), the aforementioned vault divider and the cleaning kit. I'm about a month into waiting on my spare tire order and the service center just pushed me back another month as it's not in their hands yet. Spare would have been better at $800-900 and included with Foundation Series (esp. after FSD price drop) but it does come with everything needed to change a wheel/tire.

Of all of them, I'd skip the cleaning kit - Sprayway ammonia free from Amazon is a few bucks a can and does a much better job. Wish the tire inflator kit was ready, even though it's spendy, and hoping the light bar eventually becomes available at a reasonable price for us AWD owners.

Not getting ripped off, just overpriced.

VERY well made but it seems my second divider will not fit just forward of the trunk hatch, it is too high to allow it to lock into the channel.

Example of overpriced. Different people have different levels of "too much"

If your divider cannot go past the vault deck - then you need to contact Tesla service and have them inspect your cargo deck.

I had the same problem - they have ordered a new cargo deck - the part from the vault forward - which they report is warped.

Then the divider will slide along the rails across the entire cargo area...

Sure, there are always less expensive options on Temu and Wish. That's true for just about any auto accessory for which there are enough vehicles that have been produced for the accessory makers to turn a buck. But you get what you get.

Tesla service is going to take a look at fitment on my Vault Cargo Divider at my next service appointment. Who would help with the generic Amazon or Wish product? Will the vendor even exist in a few months? How about warranty support?

As a Tesla investor, I'm okay paying a little more for a high-quality product while putting money back into the company.

Generic phone cases and screen protectors? All day long. AmazonBasics and Warehouse deals for stuff around the house. Sign me up!

I agree the divider is overpriced along with mostly everything else offered in the Tesla store.

IMO, the value of the divider is justifiable if it fits your needs. If you’re already intending on getting totes for the bed or have a need to prevent things from sliding around then it will work for you albeit pricy. If the need is situational and/or occasional, I don’t think it’s a necessity depending on the frequency of the occasion.

Is it fairly easy to take in and out? I can see myself needing to rig it down frequently when not "hauling totes"

It is easy to install and remove but large in size so you’ll need to find a place to store it after removal.
