Um, except for the odd decision to use Portrait mode when his windshield is in Landscape mode!

The quickest way to telegraph you are a newbie at taking videos is to shoot in portrait mode. Video tip: Most of life happens in landscape mode!

LED lights appear to flicker on video depending the relationship of the rate of LED flicker vs the video shutter speed/frame rate
perhaps the CT LED’s simply have a different flicker rate than those on your car

perhaps that different CT flicker rate relates to 48v architecture

I’m any event, the notion that different LEDs will or won’t flicker on the same camera isn’t itself unusual or surprising.

You’re gonna really freak out when you see video of a car driving forward but the rims appear to be spinning backwards

The LED flickering can be seen in eg any Top Gear episode with slo-mo footage.

but, since you seem to think it’s *only* the CT, i take it any vid of another car doing it should wrap it up - took all of 20 seconds

here’s a Porsche on a car content channel with accompanying explanation

It would be just like Elon to have the flicker be Morse code for something.

The CT could be videoed without the flicker, if the cameramen could/would change their frame rate/shutter speed
Videographers be like “What’s landscape?” And you want them to adjust the frame rate to eliminate flicker? Good luck with that.

not me! I don’t mind the flicker

kinda makes me sentimental for the good ‘ele days of classic Top Gear, when every third cut was slow mo flickering lights drifting around corners

the question is not “why does the CT flicker”

The question is, “who’s got the toughest flicker”
