Should I have just sent it with great speed and power? I ended up going around a different way.

Don't put your tires in the ruts.

Have someone jump in the back lol

Start digging?

Is indeed the downside of long wheelbase vehicles. Cannot always make up for it in ground clearance.

If it were a matter of have to make it up, clearly the answer is the top the mound the ruts have left.

Hmm. Not putting the tires in the ruts seemed impossible at the time because they were so deep and the banks were so steep but maybe.

There was already like 700lbs of shit in the back and the only person I had available weighs 105.

Extract mode was useless, I think it limits torque too much.

Oh, I realize now I could have grabbed my traction boards and shoved them under the rear wheels.

Or maybe both traction boards stacked under one rear wheel.

I likely would have went as far right as I could further up the peaks vs ruts and minimized the bottom out. But who k owe I wasn’t there.

Like others have said stay out of the ruts, lower your tire pressure, you’ll be able to stick to the sides a lot easier. 15psi is what I usually run when off roading unless I have smooth rocks to climb, then I drop to 12psi.

Lower tire pressure also reduces clearance though. Wes and off road guide recommend not going below 36 psi. He unseated the tire at 25spi in dunes when drifting.
On the other hand, Silver Lake requires 15 psi max.

You’ll only loose an inch or two, but you’ll be able to get out of those ruts. Which look like a foot deep at least. Also your tire will be much wider giving you a lot more grip to pull you out when you high center(not optimal, but your off-roading, your going to drag your belly). PSI being low is fine if you’re going slow, I wouldn’t drift with low PSI. I did realize after I posted that I have 35” tires on my jeep, but much smaller wheels(17”) which gives me much more surface area on the inside of my tire, square inches times PSI much greater, less chance of breaking a bead. But when off-roading it’s always a good idea to have a full size spare, anything can happen when off-roading, and having to be towed out is expensive in an off road area, especially when they see you have a cyber truck ?. Don’t want to be towed out because of a flat.

Definitely don’t take the same path everyone else is. You can be just beside that path and still make it up. It’s not worth the damage to go flat out up a hill. Find a better path or get a spotter to guide you.
