If vehicles could be manufactured without any mistakes or faulty components, they wouldn't need a warranty.

I actually expected much worse at this point, given the new factory, new technologies and all-new vehicle. Honestly, I think the Cybertruck ramp is proceeding quite well, and that your high expectations are unrealistic.

Of course, that's easy for me to say when yours is in the shop and mine is in the driveway
So sorry... I didn't know that a working windshield wiper was within "high expectations"...

I anticipate around 4K dip in AWD prices and nothing more. Irrespective of media criticism, CT is doing a good job of selling itself. Demand will continue to grow. Tesla won't go back to the price they actually published in 2019.
I'm not expecting 2019 price. 2023 price
The one it's listed for right now on the site

I literally have a friend who's about to sell away his third new Bronco because it's having 'issues' again. (First one was taken back by Ford, second was sold before it was delivered, this one has another warranty issue and he no longer needs an AWD vehicle.) It's a thing that happens with new platforms.

??‍♀

You should convince your friend not sell it because it happens! Sounds like his expectations are way too high

I could see this, and I could also see all the issues fixed for people early on. Like my 2017 vin 2000 Model 3. Issues were fixed. Was it perfect. Nope. I did get to drive it for almost a year and about 30k in miles all across the country before anyone had a 3. Never left me on the side of the road. It was trim and minor issues. Oh well. I got over minor stuff for the joy of driving. I drive between 50 and 70k a year in all Tesla's. So fun. So Sorry I am a fan for all the haters, and fence sitters. I am driving another 2000 miles in 10 days through Canada camping all the way with my dog. My kids are fly out so we can whitewater raft. Can't wait to pull my new RMR raft. Going to be sweet.

Oh I never whined about the premium price I paid as an add. It was premium. Yet I got Alcantara. It was worth it. So was lending my car out to strangers, and moms for their kids to test out to take kids to school.

and out of 4000 Cybertrucks out there, do we know how many windshield wipers are not working, except @CyberGus' of course? He made it clear that his is in perfect condition in the driveway .

Ahh.... Sorry for my dripping sarcasm. I see your point that you meant %. My fault.

No. No they didn't. A legitimate question would be 'Have there been more issues than expected?'

The answer is, no, there's no evidence for that yet.

I don't like the pricing and don't think there's value in it, but I'm not leaving the forum.

That's not too woke of you to illegitimatize my question. I thought it was a legit question to ask if anyone else also found themselves justifying QC issues, service issues, etc.. just like I do. And for my own reassurance, I even asked if there were any owners with positive experiences that had a relatively higher mileage.

At no point did I tell anyone not to sell their truck back to Tesla, tho.

I did, however, criticize them for making threads which aren't practical.

I knew it was time to invoke wokeness in this thread. Thanks for getting it started.
Well my post took a hard turn from my initial intent and degenerated.

I was expressing/questioning an opinion/thought. Not okay to question practicality?

Perspective Tesla Cybertruck buyers should consider every thing that they read.

Yet we do need to go back to statistics class. I was talking to some people about how important my statistics class that I took was.

And then we need to look at the statistical bias to the comments. How relevant they are to the whole picture.

I think anybody on this forum especially Tesla owners have had their car in for service or any car in for service. It's not fun.

Yet I think that running off and scaring off customers because of issues that some are having is disingenuous to a corporation.

Forget that it's Tesla for a moment, that some other company is selling a widget. They're trying hard to get it perfect and perfect is not always attainable. Their new customers buying the first edition. Understand that perfection is not yet there. Certain items will not be delivered but they're going to be on the forefront leading in technology. The customer accepts that.

There are people in the interwebs or internets that continually chop at the ankles and the knees of the corporation trying to sell the widget. They can't fight back in these interwabs or if they do it could compound it the problem.

Others that have had success with the product come in and say hey it's no problem with us. Try it out. It's a pretty good widget. Those people are told no no. Don't you dare tell us that the widget is perfect. We say no. The widget isn't perfect but it'll be fixed in time if you're patient, great. If not, you're not going to be on the leading edge.

Sums it up. Nothing is perfect in life. Definitely not any form of an automobile on the leading edge of technology. Yet some are striving for perfection.

I think there's some saying about being in an arena.

Correct. But the follow up apology was.

Never asked for untainted perfection. But questioning justification for recurrent disappointment.
So 50% of the time I should accept your comments. That's good man. I get ya.

Let us know the next time you want to be heard, or if ya just got something to say. Big difference.
