My wiper also activates for no reason from time to time. Also, doesn't appear to be dispersing much water, however, I haven't noticed any scratches? I use ceramic shampoo was on truck and windows? Would that help?

The spontaneous activation is probably due to FSD.

Yeah good point! I’ll probably have my detailer ceramic coat the windshield. I haven’t had that done (unlike all my other cars), because you can’t really ceramic coat the SS. So, I hadn’t really worried about it, but, I guess that’s what I’ll do on Saturday.

New product out to ceramic coat the CT bare steel. 8 year guarantee and it's intended as DIY.

Is it the one from out of spec? Because, I saw that video someone posted.

The spontaneous cleaning activates by itself even when I leave the garage without FSD, Navigation activation and does that several times during regular driving. I don't think it's acceptable to have multiple scratches on the glass that is less than 500 miles. I don't live at the construction site, drive regular roads here, wash the car regularly and still collected all these scratches.
Will see what the next visit to Tesla brings

Disclaimer: The MGGA movement is politically agnostic and is only concerned with trying to eliminate plastic coatings on top of my glass things resulting in scratches where there should be none!! ?
I’m a test pilot by trade and when I was named a flight test director an employee of mine gave me a red hat emblazoned with ā€œMake Flight Test Adequate Againā€. I thought it was hilarious but it’s just too polarizing to wear. Similar to driving a CT, you’re hated by both extremes.

He specifically mentioned ā€œwindshield assemblyā€ in messages and in person, so I assume he meant the glass since it’s scratched. Sorry the wiper arm was the third item. They were waiting a few days for windshield assembly to arrive.

I guess it’s still possible to be the wiper motor assembly, and he just named the wrong part. I don’t think so though., because they said the ā€œfront motorā€ was in stock, meaning the wiper motor, when I was actually asking them about the drive motor. In short, the Wiper blade, arm, and motor are in stock there, and being replaced, but they were waiting on ā€œwindshield assemblyā€ which is now there for tomorrow’s work.
Today he clarified it’s the wiper motor and arm assembly, not the windshield assembly as he previously said to me.

Thank you. Yeah I just don’t think that they would’ve used the qualifier ā€œassemblyā€ if they meant to say they were going to replace the windshield. That’s what triggered my question.

Not that they shouldn’t be replacing your whole windshield if it’s completely scratched up!

It’s not the glass. It’s the lamination which in the past would normally be inside two layers of glass, now on our trucks and other products such as the Apple Vision Pro - it’s on the outside. That’s what I’m ranting about.

Thanks for posting this! The problem comes in that it ain’t all that fucking scratch resistant as they claim!

Both my Cybertruck and Apple Vision Pro bear the scars, though they are minor, they exist! Not that Glass isn’t scratchable, but these laminates are … scratchable-er!

It’s just a trade-off, scratch less - chip more.

I too don't like how the wiper cleans. What fluid comes out gets thrown aside before it can spread. I've been putting off getting service because the streaks are only on the passenger side. Guess it's time to have them look at it.
Aside: I created a thread on that which had a video in it.

Strange but my wiper is not spraying all the time when it goes up like on video. Even with holding a button all the time it will spray for a short amount of time and stops, definitely not like on the video. Something is wrong with my setup looks like. Hopefully Tesla will address this. Thanks for the video, really helpful.
