I found that wiping it with the shammy after drying works best for the unremovable haze that comes with the truck.
I’ve tried that too. It seems to be a daily task to keep it clean. ??‍♂

3 and half month, 5000 miles passed, i haven't cleaned my windshield from inside yet. it looks intimidating to reach the end of windshield.
3 weeks, 1800 miles and I can’t keep it from hazing up with this thick film. Nighttime or driving into the sun casts a light or sun glare that makes it near impossible to see properly. Reaching the bottom of the windshield isn’t easy. The only thing that makes owning this an annoying and now with this event it’s a nightmare.

It’s because this windshield is fucking impossible to clean. I too was trying to clean the windshield above the auto pilot cameras and while I didn’t feel like I was exerting a lot of weight I could hear a slight cracking sound. I don’t see any visible cracks but won’t be doing that again
This happened while I was wiping the inside. I was applying normal pressure. Maybe I need to skip arm day tomorrow. ?

I am still cleaning the inside of the windshield weekly from offgassing. The filmy substance make driving facing the sun nearly impossible. I’ll pray this shattering doesnt happen to mine in the future. Fails so far on my CT is the suspension pump and tonneau cover. But i love it

I believe your windshield was defected and should be under warranty. My windshield is still very clear.

Not sure it's +1 or not: 3 days after received my CT in the beginning of April got it tinted and haven't touched my windshield yet.

Actually, I haven't touched the interior yet.

While cleaning the windshield with a brand new freshly washed microfiber cloth, the windshield spidered and shattered. Anyone else experience a weak windshield? This should be covered under warranty or a recall. Not happy at all.

I had a small 2-inch crack on the interior side of the front windshield and had Tesla replace it. They actually replaced it twice, because the first replacement was 1/8th inch too low and the ceiling shifter would not dock properly. The second replacement had anomalies, so the SC and I ageed that if anything happens to the existing windshield, they’ll just replace it. I made sure that this was clearly stated in the maintenance records.

Glad it's apparently an isolated occurrence and/or defect so far, which is not as disturbing for the thousands that have been made. Best of luck and hoping your new windshield replacement happens without difficulty.

Tesla might want to investigate other Cybertrucks with a VIN in the same batch or near your VIN.

Keep us updated on what Tesla Service tells you about the cracking and your replacement.

Tesla did not say it was under warranty and told me I should go to my insurance company…. so don’t assume it’s under warranty.. see my previous post on my experience
If there's no obvious impact, then it would be a warranty item.

Make them do it.

When I first got the truck, driving with one window down, I noticed the windshield vibrate/oscillate quite a bit due to the fluctuations in cabin pressure. You could see the interior camera mount moving up to a quarter inch. I've never seen a windshield move like that! I wonder if it has something to do with it. Best wishes all.

Out gassing has gotten better for me (since March).

off gassing is real esp if you park outside and the sun beams down on the dash
Still dealing with it months later although it's not as bad now

I go Monday to Tesla. They said they’ll have a technician look at it and if they determine there was no outside force that caused it (rock hit, etc) they will cover it. I’m praying that’s the case and the technician is honest and not a “company” man. If not, I’ll be calling my insurance. Tesla quoted me $2,615.09 ??‍♂
I would hope the technician is honest and a "company man", because the Tesla corporate culture, instilled by management and published corporate guidance for employees, is that they expect all employees to be honest and do the right thing at all times, no exceptions. They expect employees to know the difference between right and wrong. And if they are instructed contrary to that by a superior, to report the situation.

Mine was really bad when new, especially when parked in the sun. 5 months later and it's down to almost nothing. But it's been parked with the windshield facing south most of that time.
