Again - case anyone confused: that extract mode height is not a freely available height that one will be going to with any regularity

It’s better termed an ‘emergency’ extraction mode

it’ll be worth it if say high centered and needing to dislodge, really *needing* to cross high water, etc

Extract Mode vs. Entry Mode suspension heights

We were discussing the tailgate height in entry mode at work the other day. This helps 'eyeball' what it may be. It will be nice to have the ability to have the tailgate pretty low when loading/unloading things by yourself-- something that is kind of annoying in most full-size trucks since they've all grown so big over the years.

Can you tilt the truck from front to back? Like full height at the front wheels and lowest at the rear?

They originally said (and demonstrated) that the CT could crouch, but they also talked about it being self-leveling forward/backward and left/right. I have not see any contradiction (or verification) of either.

I believe the answer is yes-- I think it is touched on in this video. It may have been in service mode though. Around 1hr 12min he touches on the normal air suspension settings. Service stuff is around 1hr 28min

Usable up to 10 mph it appears. Hmm vehicle speed or wheel speed? (ie. spinning tires in something loose) is a question in my mind.

If vehicle speed, then you could use it in the right conditions for longer than just dislodging (another name for 'Extract' so it sure seems that was their general intent).

Good video on this:
19:20 for the specific area.

yes, of course you could, but:

(1) ride quality/articulation probably isn’t what you want

(2) it takes a good couple of minutes for the truck to air up to that height

(3) it runs the risk of overheating the compressor system, meaning you're left left without the use of the height adjustment, at a time when presumably you’re relying upon it

Given these constraints, I’m left not certain of how often the “right conditions” wil present themselves

obviously it’s useful in some limited scenarios, but here throttling any misunderstanding that one might just casually choose some well-functioning “extraction” height all willy-nilly

it’s for these reasons that the analogous height settings in eg Range Rovers can’t be just manually selected by the operator (RRs have an ‘extraction’ height too, but sort of hidden)

Since we know there is an alternate line into the suspension system, if you have a compressor I am hoping you could air up if needed as an emergency procedure.

weren’t they in a service screen and talking about essentially manually creating that “Carolina squat,” not that it is an available/advised setting? And that they’d need to manually re-inflate the bags if dropped from that screen?

at present, the Ui only shows the various leveled heights as options

this would indicate that either:

(A) there is no mechanical/wear issue to that stance, but they’ve merely not offered/pushed it out yet in the software

Or

(B) there is a mechanical/wear issue with that stance, and until they solve for it that stance isn’t coming

otherwise, you could always also accomplish a ‘Carolina squat’ by just stabbing each rear bag with a pocket knife ?

I believe that when you put it in Beast Mode the front lowers while the rear stays higher
Might be called Cheetah mode
