Tried searching for the source article here but came up blank so just a tweet.

It’s good to see the Wolverine rumor re-emerge from it’s den. I know this would be a hugely popular trim.

Take this all with a big grain of salt though, Trip Chowdhry‘s track record is spotty at best.

When asked to corroborate this rumor Sawyer makes it clear he’s not super confident in the source.

Mostly posted because I know there is a lot of Wolverine love here.

I do not believe public announcements on wolverine will occur until after CT deliveries begin.
Yeah, this whole thing seems a bit weird. The whole idea that Tesla would release 2 trucks at once is fishy.

One possibility though. Announcing the Wolverine with a later launch date would relieve some of the backlog on the main “Grizzly” Cybertruck. Particularly if it is as @kev12345 suggests and it’s the solution for a lower cost Cybertruck.

I know the smaller form factor would be super tempting for me.

I'd totally prefer a 15% shorter length truck. But, there's a 0% chance in hell I'm passing on a full size CT and waiting even one split second longer to wait for it.
This is where having a backup reservation later in the pipeline comes in handy. I thought I was silly for doing it, but maybe it will turn out to be prescient.

If it’s a full 15% smaller maybe it’ll be efficient enough I can sell the Model Y and we’d be a 2 Cybertruck household.

I don't think Tesla want two versions at the same time, bad enough one needed to be good and mass produce for the waiting buyers. Nope, the story try to make Tesla look bad for over promise. I think Elon took note about not to over promise on delivery already. This article is just noise. I will wait for my CT at all cost!

Hi all
I am sure we will see only one size, which will be 5 to 7.5% percent smaller than the original.
What will will see is quite a range of 2 motor, 4 motor, 4 motor plaid, 4ws as a option and probably standard on plaid. The mid gate might be a option to.
You have to think whatever is not on the original truck might be a payed for extra, i wish it was all for free but i somehow doubt it
Have a good day all.

Maybe they can't get the 8T gigapress in a timely manner so they can only make castings for a smaller truck with the 6T gigapress...

If it's not that, this news sounds BS to me. Elon now hates announcing new products and not being able to fulfill them.

6 ton gigapress is for Model Y.
