There’s was 2, I was told

One inside, that we’ve seen videos of (LINK). One outside. That we’ve all seen videos of (LINK).

Outside is it. That’s THE truck.

Finally!!! I hope somebody brings a tape measure. Seriously.

My only pain point is the triangular shaped exterior mirrors.

On mine, if it comes with the triangular mirrors they will be immediately removed. The previous style of mirrors were far superior not only in appearance, but also for rear visibility.

Cool. How was the visibility with the triangular mirrors? I can't tell from pictures. It's possible the placement of the triangular mirrors, while smaller, offer a better look to the rear. But, I can't tell without sitting in the driver's seat. I won't remove them either way because I'll be traveling through states that require mirrors and besides, in our Model Y, the cameras are often obscured by either rain or ice or just dirt and backing into the garage necessitates mirrors.

It's great to see someone who has experienced both mirror styles on the Cybertruck offer up their opinion.

The triangular design inherently gives smaller to nearly no coverage at the outer points being only a tip, whereas normal mirrors having more vertical space at those outer edges will give much better rear views and blind spot visibility especially when following vehicles are closer behind, or when towing.

Also having a larger mirror face gives the option of affixing a small convex mirror to supplement the perspective if an owner finds that beneficial for their use cases.

Aside from all that, to me the triangular design is ugly and not aesthetically cohesive with the rest of the the truck (or any vehicle IMO), but it seems like someone tried to assume that since the CT has some angular shapes in it's design. Regardless, those triangular mirrors will be the first thing to go if they come on mine as delivered. Someone said they'd be easily removable, but I don't care even if they're not easily removable, they're coming off.

Here's the inside one...

This is what the Cybertruck was being set up for by the lighting crew.

Since the mirrors are removable third part replacements should become available. Some people will want large mirrors and don't care about highway efficiency.

Yeah luckily the fact that they are removable means they can be easily swapped out, hopefully the aftermarket will save the day (same goes for the bumpers).

It is amazing to think of what Tesla (Elon) has accomplished in the last 20 years. When talking about all the media pessimists Tesla has faced, I loved the line "we specialize in making the impossible, merely late". Happy to have Tesla started here (2 blocks from my former home in Menlo Park) and glad to see a commitment to staying here. Manufacturing can and will happen everywhere, but making your Engineering HQ in Silicon Valley is great way to avoid the brain drain that plagues all major corporations. Having an exciting and great corp culture is the icing on this cake.
