I suspect visibility may have been a consideration when they seemingly moved the front seats in towards the center a bit. Personally I think the interior is great. Give me a nice clean interior and keep costs down any day. I’d rather the price be close to the original at the expense of not getting an aircraft cockpit.
For everyone pulling their hair out over pillars/visibility and a spartan interior, I agree with you, this truck isn’t for you…

Can we all at least agree on the pillar locations?

A-pillar : diagonal from hood to roof
B-Pillar : vertical between front and rear doors
C-Pillar : vertical/diagonal behind rear door

These are the standard definitions, yet the Cybertruck has an "extra" vertical pillar under the "A", which is how we get the triangular window.

Is that the "A+" pillar? or "A Prime"...?

I would like everyone to try this experiment:
  1. Dig a hole deep enough that you can only see out when standing on your toes
  2. Cover the hole with sticks
  3. Throw on a pane of glass

...and THAT is the visibility you get in a DeLorean :ROFLMAO:

I thought they were lettered from front to back, such that the CT would have an A, B, C, D like an SUV - but seems instead there can be multiples of a pillar - e.g., a limousine has multiple B pillars, B1, B2, etc.

So it seems the CT has multiple A pillars, A1 and A2

I was randomly looking at pictures and came across this:

If this is semi accurate, it means dash heigh it about chest level. (the shovel pictures show it about this height.

On the F150, the dash is about neck level.

You can pretty much only see head rest and some of the shoulder.

The top of the steering wheel on the f150 has the cluster which is like two ish inches down.

The top of the dash on the CT is basically at the joint of the steering wheel.

This puts the glass a pillers where the fender and hood is on the f 150, not above the hoodline as cval will have you believe.

This makes those rough sketches cvalue made about ct style a pillars on the f 150 moo.

A cow's opinion.

Why the sticks?

Do I want to know?

not even certain what you’re trying to suggest

But you do appreciate that seats - in both the CT and F150 - are height adjustable, no?

absolutely they are adjustable, but I'm assuming all those positions between the steering wheel and seats are neutral.

This doesn't negate the relationship of the dash height in relation to the steering wheel .

yes

and that doesn't change that the neutral position of the CT yoke has it's dash at right above center.

and in the f150 the HUD cover is at the height of the round top. and so is the rest of the dash.

the CT yoke is roughtly 2/3rds the height of the f150 steering wheel no?

Center of the steering wheel here is the ford logo.

Center of the tesla yoke is a little under the log.

run that across the width and the f150 has lot more dash above blocking your view.

The glass A pillars on the CT are where the HUD would be and where the rest of the dash would beon the pass side looking out.

Are you saying something that you think has to do with the lateral view out to the sides from the driver’s seat, or instead out front over the hood?

Because I don’t understand either direction you might be heading

if you’re talking out front over the hood, the face of the Ford dash is not what blocks your view, unless you’re 5’ tall and don’t adjust the seat upwards.

What blocks your view out front is the apex of the hood as it relates to your eye level - with the CT being unusual in that the apex of the “hood” is where the glass meets the dashboard, over the front axel

Very rough justice here for present purposes, but in the below photos each red arrow are of identical height, and showing the relative hood apex of each vehicle is in ~same spot ~the same height relative to the driver (assuming same seat heigh settings)

If instead you’re talking lateral views out the side, I *really* don’t know what you’re driving at
