Optimus production to start getting ramped up by end of year?? Did I hear that right?

And they are thinking of combining neuralink with optimus tech to provide a 6 million dollar man type body in real life at maybe $60k?

OK, this meeting is getting insane.

The lack of a traditional ICE power plant makes the very practical 6' bed and under 19' garageable length possible.

This is the only bone that Tesla has released so far regarding the Cybertruck. Pricing, trim levels and specifications are still a mystery.

Tesla Cybertruck 📣 News! Cybertruck deliveries on track for this year, sub-19 ft length + 6 ft bed length ++ lots of pics from deck! IMG_0628

CYBERTRUCK - BUILT TO DO REAL WORK

Investor / Earnings Presentation Deck (PDF download): https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/attachments/tsla-q2-2023-update-pdf.22375/

Summary also by greggertruck

Cybertruck factory tooling on track; producing RC4 builds.
Deliveries remain on track for this year.
"We are now testing Cybertruck vehicles around the world for final certification and validation. This might be the most unique vehicle product in decades; with that comes trialing and testing new technologies. As far as we know, Cybertruck will be the first sub-19 ft. truck (fitting into a garage) that has both four doors and 6+ ft. bed. Both technologically and architecturally, this vehicle will break a lot of boundaries – very much in line with how we think about vehicle engineering and manufacturing"
"Cybertruck remains on track to begin initial production later this year at Gigafactory Texas. In addition, we continue to make progress on our next generation platform."

I really thought/hoped that Cybertruck would move from Tooling to Pre-Production, but it is just a label after all.

I note that RC<superscript 4> is not the same as RC4. I do not have the deck open so I do not know what the #4 footnote says. The footnote just expands RC --> Release Candidate.

Does anyone remember on the last call what the exact wording was for when the CT would start deliveries? I have "end of Q3" in my head, which makes me worried since Elon said "end of the year" on the call today (i.e., potential further delay).

But maybe I'm misremembering and he's actually been saying end of the year all along.

FINALLY! This is the photo I've been waiting years for. CT is badass. It's capable. It's off road. So much BS FUD could have been prevented over the last couple years by using photos like this to promote the truck. Glad it's finally happening! So excited.

Now when the media writes a clickbait article about electric trucks, they have some awesome photos to include. Works wonders on public perception.
I don’t mean to be a debbie downer but ive seen hyundai crossovers do this before as well as awd cars. This image isn’t proving or showing much

Technically it's only showing a pile of mud in the shape of a CT.

I dont mind em. I thought it was weird without mirrors.

Also, I use the blinker cam in my Y and its kinda terrible to look to the right to see on my left when using that blinker. Might get used to it eventually but i havent yet
I would love to rely on cameras strictly, but here in CA sometimes you gotta signal after you start the lane change and there's too much delay on my Y. I wish it intuitively knew I wanted to change lanes and would flash the camera before I signaled.

While I absolutely agree that it’s nice to see it properly dirty, these aren’t necessarily particularly difficult conditions (unless the mud was very deep), and who knows, it might’ve gotten stuck :) Rivian had their trucks going through the jungles of South America and on actual offroad courses. So credit were due to them. I hope we see the Cybertruck doing more actual work now.
