"I wanna get credit, but I don't wanna get fired" ??
my guy @triggertx doesn’t work for Tesla!

he was just at a local speed shop in town, and an RC showed up in a hotshot trailer, about to load a second (not CT) in behind it

Honestly a little wild they’re just using random hotshot rigs to love these things around ?

I post Cybertruck stuff on the Internet and people like it.

The A-arms were steel. The control arms were aluminum. Attaching the only pic I didn't post. Zoom in for detail.

As for the thickness of the panels, they felt substantial when knocked on. More so than your standard bodywork on steel cars. I can't for sure say how thick as I didn't know I should pay attention to that. Sorry. None of us expected to run into one of those on Tuesday and didn't know what people would want to see. I only posted the one pic as a sly joke for friends not knowing it would be enough to go on for sites to write entire articles. ?

They are. I picked one up(don't tell anyone :sneaky:. They were just laying loose on the trailer floor) to see how they mounted to the wheel. We were curious how they attached and lined up the the rubber.

Was that second card heading east or west of the Mississippi? ?

Thanks

-Greggertruck, the dude that was in the comments hahahah. I can’t believe you found out weird little hole on the internet man!

I guarantee that my employer doesn't give two shits what I take pics of. I happened to be in the right place at the right time to see inside the trailer. That's it. 15 mins earlier or later and no one would have seen any pics maybe. I had no idea people beyond my small friend group would even care. At this point, I'm just trying to be nice and answer what I can as I know how people can clamor for any info they can get on new vehicles. I've been there. Go back through my IG to see how I was once excited to get a new Bronco until life happened. I'm not really a fan of the CT, just a car guy trying to help out other car people.

What does annoy me is people taking pics off my stream and passing them off as if they took or own them. Even more so when they slap their own initials on them. I'm looking at you SERobinsonJr on Twitter.

Like I said on IG, I feel it's not my place to say where the trailer was heading as it also contains a vehicle belonging to a customer of my friend's shop. I'll share the CT pics but I wouldn't feel right compromising physical security of either vehicle. That's why I waited 6 hours before even posting the photo to IG. :)

Thanks, guys. The video is not mine though. I think I know who took it but don't know where they released it.

I have zero issues with reusing my photos as long as it's linked back. The photos I do take to sell or for reference for my wife's paintings never get posted. I have a different online persona for that side of my life. :)

I'm happy to answer any questions I can. I'm not a fan of the truck itself but I am a huge car and 4x4 nut as can probably be seen in my IG feed. Cars are my biggest hobby, I used to write for automotive mags(remember magazines?), and I'm lucky to have amazing friends and access to places many people only dream or hear about. So fire away with the questions. If I can't remember I can ping others that were there.
Welcome to the forum.

What would have been really interesting is having a look at the multi link pushrod rear suspension that remains a mystery, and there is virtually no details on yet. Seeing it's not a trailing arm, and there's no space for mounting air springs between the wheel and the internal bed wall, curious minds would want to know how their setup works, especially considering it's meant to have a 1500kg payload back there.

And what exactly does it mean "you're not a fan of the truck itself"?
I'm sure we can change that for you here! ;) :ROFLMAO:

From SE Robinson ‘a Twitter:

“- Cybertruck was caught peeking out of an enclosed trailer in Austin, TX yesterday. Per insta u/triggertx this pic and video was taken at his friend’s shop where the trailer was picking up other vehicles. Fairly odd… Curious to know why and where the production Cybertrucks keep getting sent to. What do you think?”

Thr triggertx insta account confirms the trailer was picking up a second vehicle from Petrol Lounge, hotshotting the same direction

the insta thread also ripped me off to this:

Thems the snap-on aero covers that pair with the attachment rings:

I would like to have done that but crawling under the truck while it was inside a trailer would have been a bit much to ask of the patient af driver. We were trying to be respectful and not get someone in trouble just for doing his job.

As for the CT itself, I prefer my Land Rovers and offroad kit without computers or air suspensions to strand me far from roads and help. :)

That's the full res pic I uploaded here. I can't get you anything better. Good luck. ?
LOL... If I had my phone here in the facility, I'd definitely use Google Lens to see if it could read the QRC!

Some recent photos suggest forged aluminum lower A-arms in front, welded stamped steel lower A-arms in the rear. I love the “New Zealand Tests” stickers on the rear air suspension canister.

Can someone comment intelligently on what looks to be a spring below the outboard end of the A-arm and above the lower knuckle attachment? I'm not that familiar with various suspensions of 4-wheel vehicles, but I don't recall seeing that before.

Wouldn’t they use summon feature? Otherwise, just climb out the window and walk along the trailer’s fender wells. You can also winch it in. Most people with transport trailers throw in a floor mounted winch up front.
IMG_7634.jpeg
My experience with summon is that’s too tight of a fit for it. It will refuse to go on.
