It would be nice if we got a second charging port on the passenger front wheel fender. It would be easy to hide until the delivery event with a different fender.
In the video with the multiple Cybertrucks in the factory, it looked like there was a charge port just inside the Frunk.

Thanks, I was the one to circle that in that thread. I can’t see having to pop the frunk to charge. I was thinking maybe air compressor port or it might just be a locking point for the frunk. It’s part of the tub because I didn’t see anything there in the F150 wrap photo.

FYI the all the pics (and possibly the video) herein are from @triggertx on IG. Credit should be given where credit is due.

People keep trying to take credit for others things people do without referring back to the source .... which makes people think they are the original source. Sometimes good stories with the source too! PLUS people may want to go back to the source to see what else is there and what else was discussed ... ie. your case in point.

Cool. Yeah, I don't think it would be a main charge port for sure but it could be an alternate charge port for nosing into charge stations. I think you are more likely correct. It seems the compressor and all that jazz would be up there near the motors.

Looks like the air shocks are definitely there, but this video does nothing to solve the mystery of the driver getting out! Still hopeful for a mid-gate!
I would be happy if the window can roll down flush, that's useful in itself

I post Cybertruck stuff on the Internet and people like it.

He had concerns about the upper A-arm rubbing with the tire when spun - such that 35s could be the max tire diameter. He believes that the controls arms on this unit were stamped as opposed to cast or CNC.
Sorry, thought the OG post credited that source already. Wasn't aware.

Thanks, guys. The video is not mine though. I think I know who took it but don't know where they released it.

I have zero issues with reusing my photos as long as it's linked back. The photos I do take to sell or for reference for my wife's paintings never get posted. I have a different online persona for that side of my life. :)

I'm happy to answer any questions I can. I'm not a fan of the truck itself but I am a huge car and 4x4 nut as can probably be seen in my IG feed. Cars are my biggest hobby, I used to write for automotive mags(remember magazines?), and I'm lucky to have amazing friends and access to places many people only dream or hear about. So fire away with the questions. If I can't remember I can ping others that were there.

except recently disoriented to learn that the entire 3mm mythology stems from a single 2019/20 tweet by Musk, which itself wasn’t unambiguous about whether he was talking about the whole car.

(I wonder if that 3mm mythology was also solidified by the notion of the [BLEEP BLEEP], as people tended to assume 3mm made sense if the panels were all alone in forming the frame. And now that we’ve see the body in black…)

I really have no clue either way if it’s all 3mm, I’m just no longer moored to the idea that Tesla/Musk ever said the whole truck would be 3mm
I'm thinking 2 mm because that's what the starship is made out of in certain sections now

I have two observations from the video.

It appears that the Cybertruck will use a steel/cast iron upper control arm

The thickness of the rear SS quarter panel appears to be substantial. 2mm, one nickel thick? Hard to say until deliveries begin to confirm.

From SE Robinson ‘a Twitter:

“- Cybertruck was caught peeking out of an enclosed trailer in Austin, TX yesterday. Per insta u/triggertx this pic and video was taken at his friend’s shop where the trailer was picking up other vehicles. Fairly odd… Curious to know why and where the production Cybertrucks keep getting sent to. What do you think?”

Thr triggertx insta account confirms the trailer was picking up a second vehicle from Petrol Lounge, hotshotting the same direction

the insta thread also ripped me off to this:

Thems the snap-on aero covers that pair with the attachment rings:

The A-arms were steel. The control arms were aluminum. Attaching the only pic I didn't post. Zoom in for detail.

As for the thickness of the panels, they felt substantial when knocked on. More so than your standard bodywork on steel cars. I can't for sure say how thick as I didn't know I should pay attention to that. Sorry. None of us expected to run into one of those on Tuesday and didn't know what people would want to see. I only posted the one pic as a sly joke for friends not knowing it would be enough to go on for sites to write entire articles. ?

Thems the snap-on aero covers that pair with the attachment rings:
They are. I picked one up(don't tell anyone :sneaky:. They were just laying loose on the trailer floor) to see how they mounted to the wheel. We were curious how they attached and lined up the the rubber.
