Not impressed. Looks like a pyramid.
That's confusing. Your profile says you have a reservation for a Tri-motor Cybertruck. Did you not know it would resemble a pyramid? ?

These hubcaps look much snugger against the tire wall. After the past hubcap... detachments, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the new design across all models regardless of tire size.
Not that you have to have aero caps though.

You are correct. I do have a reservation and I am 11k in line. However, as I’m sure you know, that reservation was placed many years ago and since then the dimensions have changed significantly.

The change in proportions are less than flattering in my opinion.

I am confused. I do not know if these are smaller wheels/tires but the wheel covers look identical (or nearly so) to those on the early prototypes and the unveiling. Have you been upset like this over these covers for almost 4 years? Just take them off. As for range, I expect Tesla to offer wheel/tire options to improve range for those who don't off road much. Or, maybe the standard option will be an all-year tire that optimizes range and there will be an option for offroad wheels and tires.
I think they are tires with higher sidewalls on smaller diameter rims. Tesla always offers OEM wheels and tires in at least a couple of different size options.

The proportions look very close to what was revealed, just scaled down about 3%. Sure, there are minor deviations, but it didn't change the overall pyramidal design intent.

These covers are different from the original prototype and from more recent RCs

As haulinass pointed out, the wheels are smaller, but they have a higher sidwall profile tyre, that makes them about the same outside diameter.

I think it looks off, because this is also one of the lowest suspension setting photos we have seen. I think its nearly sirting on its stop limits.

Smaller size wheel is actually better for offroad, bump absorbsion and road noise.

those aren’t smaller tires, they are still 35’s

these are the same Pirelli streets we’ve seen for a bit now. The sidewall pattern breaks up the size appearance, possibly causing people’s eyes to play tricks. I’ve seen these pier Eli’s and know them to be identical in size to the Goodyear offroad

as for the hubcaps: anyone remember the one that flew off at speed on the highway, and since then haven’t really been seen on any units?

I suspect they went though a re-engineering, and if these are different (a bit unclear to me at first glance), it’s that.

that or these hubcaps are matched to the Pirellis, while the other design goes with the Goodyear

perhaps the new hubcap design makes the tires *appear* different as well, leading to the assertion these tires are smaller

but nothing about this image suggests these are different tires/sizes than we’ve seen previously

Not a fan of the smaller wheel look, or those awful hubcabs, but probably a base/ range friendly option that
I would not worry about the hubcaps…I am sure there will be plenty of after-market pieces.
