Once you step out your door you are in public and give up your right to privacy. You can be photographed, videoed, etc.

Yikes, kind of insane that it's narrower than a Model X
I want to know wheel flare edge to wheel flare edge. That‘s the garage parking width most buyers are interested in.

For example, the new Ineos Grenadier looks much larger than a Jeep Wrangler. In reality the SUV is only 1.1” wider.

FINALLY a MF showed up with measuring tape!

Well done, bring it in, man. I'm giving you a dap-to-bro hug, with a double shoulder slap, and an "AGGHHHH!!", over the internet.

Fam, I’m more concerned about all the sentry footage tesla got on me and trying to not get sued to oblivion than attempting to get more measurements lmao. That was a hit and run stealth measurement job lmao. Someone else can finish the job. I did my part, it fits in my garage ?and now can convince my wife she can park at Costco with it ?
Oh, she can park at Costco. With that SS shell and crazy tow ratings, she can just push the other cars out of the way. Just make sure you have good insurance.

If the vehicle is parked in a public place and you don't touch it, there's no legal reason you can't take photos of the CT. The courts have stated we're allowed to photograph people in public along with buildings. The driver/owner of the CT may or may not let you measure their vehicle by touching it. That's up to them and whether Tesla has stated in writing that they are allowed to help a person measure the CT or even give someone a ride. All you can do is ask and see what they say.

Thank you for taking some measurements. I've been asking for this for a long time. There aren't any CTs in my area. I am still trying to get someone to measure the exact distances between the mounting points on the top of the CT. A bonus would be to ask the driver if they can pop the mounting point covers off to see what's inside. Good luck, and thanks!!
Stolen dimensions give higher moral satisfaction than the published ones

By attempting to measure tire edge to tire edge, he’s more-or-less done that

but sighted at a bit of a distance from the edges, with some eyeball fudge mixed in

BTW you could also measure from the tyres to the parking spot lines, and then measure them, seeing it looks like the CT was parked nicely.
LOL. First thing I thought about.... easier to butt it up to the tires!

Then again, I once determined the dimensions for a piece of furniture (from a picture) by interpolating from the electrical outlet that was next to it.......

Get yourself a laser tape measure and you can get that bed dimentions without touching it
I've tried a laser tape measure on the original in the Peterson, but it doesn't like the texture of reflective stainless surfaces. There's also the problem of bouncing it off something from the point you want to measure from, which doesn’t work for length, width, height etc. You'd have to get someone to stick a board out from the bumper while you measure from the other side. Tape would be easier, provided you can touch it.

Measuring tape, and two plumb bobs
