The 500+ mile version, when released, will be able to travel 500+ miles without charging, when driven in a similar manner to the EPA combined test cycles. More like 400 miles at typical freeway speeds. We have to wait until November 30 to find out which versions will be the release versions.I hope a fully charged battery will make it 500 plus miles? Any updates are appreciated.

What do you need the range for? Winter driving? Towing? Higher speed than EPA? All of the above? For people that drive w/o these constraints @HaulingAss is probably right.I hope a fully charged battery will make it 500 plus miles? Any updates are appreciated.
I need to pull my tractor. Hills of Arkansas. Lack of charging station where I live. What do you need the range for? Winter driving? Towing? Higher speed than EPA? All of the above? For people that drive w/o these constraints @HaulingAss is probably right.
KOOL Charting .... I also have an estimate of around 175 kWh pack for the 'BEAST', however l concluded a best of 3.1 miles per kWh ( allows for 'usable' kWh )No one knows. There are 100s of post about this topic in the past few months.

The 'ICING' Days are done and dusted as soon as CT comes DownUnderAs a Normy with no towing needs. 300 miles has been enough for me in my MYP.
anything above that would be icing
Has the West seen more expansion in the network than other parts of the US?considering how fast the Supercharger Network has been growing, at least in the Western part of the US
You miss one critical piece, the towing aspect. I agree with you as long as your not towing. But towing demands a 500 mile rage (which while towing the range will be halted to 250 miles). The 500+ mile version, when released, will be able to travel 500+ miles without charging, when driven in a similar manner to the EPA combined test cycles. While I will be getting a 500+ mile version, when it's available, I think, considering how fast the Supercharger Network has been growing, at least in the Western part of the US, that maximum range is over-rated. It's pretty rare that I challenge the 300-mile ranges of our Model 3's. When you can add 100 miles of range with 5 minutes of Supercharging at a 250 kW charger, it really makes me a whole lot less concerned with total range, as long as the electrons can pile in at a fast rate.
It does require a little different mindset though.
What kind of naive comment is that?It depends on how people drive in the ideal conditions prescribed by Tesla, so wait and see! ? ?
