I just want to make sure we all recognize that expecting this kind of perfection on our vehicles is driving the cost up. It’s a truck. After 10 years its likelihood of going to the crusher probably increases 10% every year. I know a lot of people look at cars as a status symbol or a golden chariot for their royal hineys. But it’s just a car or truck. I hope this forum doesn’t turn into a door gap tolerance evaluation committee once the CTs start arriving. Actually I hope they ban body panel gap tolerance conversations all together. Just be thankful for your bullet proof stainless and let’s have some fun. Tesla can send their white cotton glove QA team home and give me the savings please. Lets just get these CTs rolling
the gap FUD is short sellers. none of us are.

They don't typically hand over a ton of cars at these events, but this is less then I expected.

MKBHD? He is a tech youtuber.

I am not sure why some people in this thread throw hate towards him though, he doesn't do a lot of the negative things we sometimes associate with influencer types. He doesn't get too involved in rumors.

He mostly does tech reviews, car impressions, and interviews.
But he did make outrageous claims that were widely advertised here and elsewhere that later turned out to be mostly fabricated in his head. So many consider any mention of him a waste of space, me included. He could be 100% correct at this point and I wouldn't pay attention.

I wanted to read through all of the comments to see if what I was looking for was voiced by anyone, but interestingly it wasn't. First, Joe T. was told over a week ago that there were 30 Cybertrucks being stored inside the factory that have never seen the light of day. And that was at least a week ago. Meanwhile we continue to see more Cybertrucks in the parking lot. Second, why do you all believe another rumor when we are inside 2 weeks away from the event? We have no reason to believe that only 10 will be delivered at the event, especially if they had 30 sitting in the factory over a week ago. So I am not buying it, not that what I think matters.

What claims? Seriously, I am unaware of what you are talking about. I have never heard him make outlandish claims.

Can you link?

I do not expect either, but I do expect them to show videos and talk about the technology and features that they want to emphasize.
I am already mentally preparing myself for very little information being shared at the delivery event. I actually think we will have to wait until its up on the website for purchase for slightly more information and then until Munro gets his hands on one for some real information.

He fell for the range trick on the prototype Lightning, he's fallen for a couple other fakeouts.

It's not that he's bad, it's that he gets caught up in things. He's more for feel than facts, alas. I do like his reviews of the Plaid, tho.

So, if there is only 10 to possibly 30 deliveries to employees. Are we talking about Texas employees or will these first trucks be equally shipped out to various Tesla plants around the U.S.

On ramping, there is only one 9 ton press working and it's a chore to switch out and fine tune a set of molds to get the lone machine up and running which explains why so many rear castings were filling up the over flow area outside and now all we see is front castings.

The second caster should be completed, up and running Q1 2024 and the third still hasn't been delivered which would make a combined 500,000 casts per year.

that may well be true, but they’re not delivery vehicles
That might be true and it might not, just like the 10-car delivery rumor might be true and might not. In 13 days we will find out about all of these guesses, rumors, and assertions. Until then it is all amusing.

So true. I'm glad to hear someone say that on a forum filled with a bunch of people who would get their panties twisted up over a finger print on their new Cybertruck. You people know who you are, so don't try to pretend you're being reasonable.

And Pricing....
This^^^

When Tesla finally announces the pricing, we won't have to wade through hundreds of posts every day of people moaning and complaining about high the price is. I know it seems strange that people would complain about high prices that haven't even been announced yet, but sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. Go figure! Yes, it's highly irrational, but that is exactly what we have been subjected to for over a year now.

Only 13 more days until we can put to rest unsupported rumors of 6 digit price tags.
