People who thot they would keep the same price was delusional tbh.
Absolutely, but did you expect price increases of 42-60%? Inflation has been 20% over the past 4 years.

You were way off, with range extender it's $116K and you're still significantly under 500 miles.

Tesla will sell all they can make in 2024 and 2025.

Tesla can't make a big vehicle with a big battery for $40K, as many people here have pointed out for years.
Sure but they'll be lucky to produce 150,000 vehicles in the next 2 years. At these price demand probable won't support more than 100,000 Cybertrucks per year after that.

This forum is weird. The Cybertruck is a model S/X tier vehicle. There was no reality where they would price it like a model 3/Y. Not to mention the direct competitor, Rivian, priced their truck relatively close to this. I paid 62k for my MYP in 2020. 79k before the rebate seems pretty good for a much larger, more advanced, vehicle.

Y'all wild
Yes, but you got taken buying a MYP for $21,000 more than they sell now.

It's honestly amazing just how MANY people they just priced out. Honestly, it does make the most sense. You've got a set number your producing over the next 12-18 months. No need to make it affordable to the masses. I see you all in 2025, maybe. Assuming they still want to make 1/4 million of these a year
The price will need to come down 20% to ever support 250K production.

My guy, it’s 10k lower now, 3 years later. Totally got taken by the company that constantly changes their prices. If you’re gonna talk shit at least quote the price right ?

can’t wait for you to own the S and X owners on what they paid versus what it’s at now

I’m pretty bummed about the price also but Tesla isn’t a non-profit. They have billions invested in the development and production of this truck. If they honored the original price they’d be like Ford and selling them at a loss forever. Elon has already said it’d take them 18 months to even start making a profit. Profit is the point. Not customer loyalty.
That's why they will lose millions of customers

I don't know, I think having a fully customizable vehicle sounds pretty rad. The range extender might be something that can be rented/shared owners when needed. Less weight when you don't need the range. Maybe it doubles as a baby powerwall in other uses?
Not a chance. It's a $16,000 option that Tesla installs permanently.

I looked, walked away, came back. Still floored. I can't justify $80k There has got to be something else.

At 600k in line hopefully I won't have to say no for a year. Maybe prices will moderate. I am looking elsewhere for my truck needs for now.

Hmmm, what if it is an ADD-ON option AFTER the sale? Like strapped down in the bed and plugged in somehow? Then I'd get the AWD at $79,990 to qualify for the $7500 credit, and THEN add the spare battery in the bed...
You nailed it! Its apparently modular from what I'm hearing - so can have it installed after sale!
