This will be so great for transporting things that you'd want to have insulated from the external weather conditions!
Agreed - we use the fold up rear seats in our 2018 RAM 1500 pickup for transporting everything from groceries to luggage to furniture and everything in between. When we had our dog (since passed on) we would use that area to provide a more roomy and stable area for the dog. Very useful feature without a doubt and I’m very glad to see the CT has this same feature.

That's where I'm sleeping when I park down by the river, since the bed is nerfed to 6' long now.

sorter than that, functionally

I’ve slept in the back seat floorboard of my Lightning before

I don’t recommend drinking as much as required for that to seem a good idea

Just about any model year. They haven't change for over a decade. Not sure about the 2024 model year
My Taco seats do a forward spit thing, then the backrest goes down.

it’s good to see Tesla offering such features given most other ICE pickups do the same. My 2018 RAM 1500 has fold up rear seats and 90 degree doors for example. I’d be disappointed if a brand new nextgen EV pickup design didn’t have competitive features like this. F150L has the same feature as well.
Suddenly the CT doesn’t seem like the drastic innovation when you put it that way. The 48V battery is something which most users won’t easily notice the apparent benefit. Drive-by-wire is the most immediate benefit but only when driving it. The rest of the features are pretty standard for most work trucks.

The frunk is pretty lackluster compared to the Lightning’s frunk.

The omission of the middle seat is another disappointment.

Not having a behind the wheel display or HUD is another disappointing miss, especially given that there is no rearview mirror and the video feed from the rearview mirror will take screen real estate on the display. It would’ve been nice to have a behind the wheel display where the rearview camera and side camera feeds could display so the driver can maintain proper forward facing position and simply need to glance slightly down to see those.

Behind the front seat storage is important for us future Cyberlandr owners since the entire vault is used up when the CL is stowed and the frunk is rather small. I assume the back seats can be removed altogether to accommodate an organized storage system accessory for all the necessary stuff taken along on a typical road/camping trip. The 90 deg opening door would allow the insertion/removal of such a system.

CL?

Otherwise, I completely agree that in modern 4-door pickups the rear cargo room is a key, and often under-appreciated, feature.

Whether that "cargo" is 2-3 extra people, or secure and climate-controlled space for other kit

All Teslas have glass roofs. It’s tinted and UV-blocking.
