Curious about the "Power Feed" in the Frunk as well.
Wonder if it will be
  • Low Voltage +/-12v or
  • Mid Voltage +/-48v <--------------
  • USA Voltage +/-120v

But is it bidirectional so we can hook up a solar roof?

same question here. have we seen a photo or video of said power feed in the frunk? Still sort of salty that they didn't put in a 120V in the frunk. the more I think about it the more it'd be nice to have as an option even though I'd use it like once a year

I have this installed on my S at the lower air center. Switch inside for 12,000 Lumens. Like looking at the sun.

One thing that makes me not want the light bar is the light-bar in off road only which I think forces top speed reduction to lower suspension once threshold of speed is crossed. Some people really live off grid and drive fire roads, and don't need off road mode or whatever the speed restriction that would turn it off.

If it behaves like other Tesla's that change as speed increases. Maybe not.

The bend radius of that cable seems over the minimum allowance.

There are no bending radius rules in the NEC for single conductors 1000 volts or less.

Still doesn't stop the bending from fatiguing and possibly breaking the wires.

Also looks a bit thin for 2.3kW at 48V, so 47A. Is there another one maybe?

I haven't seen anything else yet. I should really have a look at it better to see if there's anything bidirectional or similar. Or anything relating to solar/MPPT.
There is a claim of 400 watts for the frunk in the latest T-Sportsline video. Next post.
(400 watts) / (48 volts) = 8.3 amperes

They claim 400 watts for the frunk in the latest T-Sportsline video.

T Sportline: "Confirmed with Tesla, both [roof | frunk] auxiliary power taps are rated to 400 watts. Both are protected with solid state circuits, if you exceed 400w, they shut off."

(400 watts) / (48 volts) = 8.3 amperes
