I hope that some of these questions can be answered. I know that most may not be possible as Tesla has no clear information regarding this, but it doesn't hurt to try!
How many foundation series will be manufactured?
If I don't want the Foundation series, do I keep my reservation spot? When would I expect to be invited to order it?
Is Cybertruck dual motor (non Foundation) going to receive the $7,500 tax credit? If so, when?
What is the individual cost of the powershare system (equipment+installation)?
Do I need to also have a powerwall for the powershare installation? This assuming that I purchase the foundation series.
If I order the dual motor, do I get the powershare installation for free?
Is it possible to get a detailed price for the Foundation series extras?
Am I going to be able to order the range extender in the future if I order a non Foundation series?
I heard about changes on the Cybertruck like better turning radio and better batteries for longer range. Are these things that the Foundation series will get? If not, will there be a recall to modify it at no cost?

Good questions!

You're right, there are no "authoritative" answers to the questions you have. From the things I've read:

The only estimate I've seen anywhere about the number of FS built is 20,000, from "a Tesla Representative" from someone posting on Reddit. Lots of uncertainties about the source, but there it is for what it is worth.

https://www.autoevolution.com/news/...n't work, offered to early reservation holders.

If you don't want the FS, all indications are that you can leave your configurator alone and you'll be able to order a non-FS Cybertruck whenever those are available. A couple of factors at play there. One is how many FS they are able to sell (and how fast) as well as how fast they can ramp production. Both of those will dictate how long it is before you can order a non-FS Cybertruck

As long as the rules don't change, the 79,990 version would meet all of the requirements of the IRS $7,500 tax credit. Keep in mind that you won't be able to add anything in the way of options that are attached to the vehicle that make that price go up AT ALL or you'll no longer qualify for the tax credit. It isn't on the IRS site yet because it isn't available to purchase yet.

Powershare system- The equipment you need (universal wall connector and gateway) are included with the FS. I found a list of all of the included items and prices here:

https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...or-the-foundation-series-premium-price.10796/

also, here is the list for convenience:

$295 All-Weather interior liners
$115 Glass roof sunshade
$40 Center console tray
$45 Gear locker dividers
$40 Vault D-rings
$25 L-track hooks
$25 L-track bottle opener
$1,000 White decor (current Tesla upcharge from black to white interior)
$600 Powershare home charger
$230 Powershare mobile connector
$1,000 - $2,000 est. Powershare/Powerwall v3 gateway plus installation up to $4,000; installation bonus appers to be for Beast only, not dual motor
$3,000 20 inch Cyberwheels with 35 inch tires (based on Rivian upcharge and cost of one Cyberwheel spare $1,200)
$7,000 FSD if configured on order prior to configuration locked by Tesla. Milestone passed.
$1,000 Lifetime premium connectivity ($100 per year)

You do not need a powerwall for the powershare system, the truck is the powerwall!

All indications are that the $4,000 credit for installation is only with the Cyberbeast. I did not see it on my FS AWD order

Yes, the battery extender will be available later if you don't order it now, but you won't be first in line.

As for this question "I heard about changes on the Cybertruck like better turning radio and better batteries for longer range. Are these things that the Foundation series will get? If not, will there be a recall to modify it at no cost?" My sense of this, and historically in practice seen, these things can be improved by software updates (i.e rear steering increase to 10 degrees, evolving thermal management, etc.). That being said, they will always continue to improve and over time I'd bet that newer battery cell tech will be implemented in future trucks which of course you wouldn't have.

Hope this helps!

  1. I hope that some of these questions can be answered. I know that most may not be possible as Tesla has no clear information regarding this, but it doesn't hurt to try!

2) No one knows
3) Just chill and do nothing
4) Probably, if you don't add any options. All sorts of discussions though
5) More info at Powershare | Tesla
6) No
7) Only up to $4k with Foundation Series package (limited availability). Add on for all other
vehicles.
8) There are some samples floating around, the samples don't add up to $20k. But there may be other unknowns included with the package.
9) Expected to be so
10 Turning radius is definitely scheduled and will be enabled in future OTA update. Batteries/Range/Charging enhancements are expected. But are they 1%, 10% or 20% is TBD. They will be provided for free

Tesla continuously updates their vehicles with new features. My 2018 Model 3 is not the car I bought then; it has a lot more capabilities now.

The Foundation Package is only available to those who ordered within the first day or so. If you weren't planning on buying FSD, it's not worth it, unless you don't really care about the price.

Not clear if you’re asking about the FS AWD or FS Beast

Depending, there are different answers to several of your questions

Sorry, I plan to purchase the AWD. I may plan to go for the AWD non FS as I prioritize range, powershare and tax credit over FSD, big tires and wheels plus the other extras.

AFAIK, you can add software items like FSD.

well, if you don’t already have a home charger there’s no saving you there, and you’re paying for it either way - a wash

they all come with the same sized tires and wheels - only dif id if its the all season or all terrain, or the premium wheel vs base wheel

PowerShare only included with the Beast

if you’re not interested in FSD, it’s a no brainer (unless you want to pay the 20K premium merely to have the truck sooner)

Yes, that was why I said “attached to the vehicle. The FSD software does not count.
Thanks. I was pointing to a more official Tesla source.

AWD FS comes with Power Share. 4 non employee AWD FS deliveries show that in other threads and its on my order list. All other correct.

It is pathetic that Tesla doesn't tell its customers much of anything on these issues. You're just expected to plop down $100,000 to $120,000. and hope all the rumors and unofficial posts will pan out. Not a way to run a company!
