This is not correct, nothing like this was said in regards to the CT. You most likely heard talk referring to 4680 production challenges. It was also said 4680 production is sufficient for CT ramp, so all is well.

It's correct. Elon and his engineer both said it and laughed. Listen again. I'm not a hater and have no investment in this. Just putting it out there. We'll I do have an investment...stock so there's another reason to not lie.

Could be. I'm sure Tesla does not want to deliver hundreds of trucks and then have to ship wheel covers to hundreds of people across the US.

This proves the hubcap theory! The hubcap theory is you can’t pay an American auto worker the $100/hr (or whatever their rate is) to put on hubcaps when you could pay someone in another country $5/hr!

Ramp up is real. If only one vendor misses a part delivery production takes a hit.

Think of it this way. For Tesla to manufacture 100 Cybertruck’s a day they must have 400 stainless steel doors, 400 wheels and tires, 200 front bucket seats, etc. for assembly line workers to install.

Reminds me of the COVID era lots filling up with 97% completed vehicles, which were only missing a part or two. Tesla is good at resolving these issues and I have faith things will get sorted quickly, but this is hardly unusual in the auto industry.

If there are 16 Cybertrucks on the lot and some of hubcaps and others don’t, I would have demanded they pull off the hubcap covers from an undelivered truck to put them on mind.

I just did this with a Ford tremor. Flat tire on one side and I said swap the wheel out with another one. Boom! Done deal.
