TERRIBLE title to your post. This has nothing to do with your delivery ya genius
This is literally the dumbest response I have ever seen to someone else’s post.

The truck is amazing otherwise. The 5 minutes I got to drive it was great lol

It’s with service now. Waiting to hear more

Tesla can resolve this,no doubt, though sorry for your inconvenience. Hopefully when my order comes along, all these kinks/electronic and software issues are already resolved. Thanks for sharing your experience

IF this is the ancillary harness power loss issue reported in January, which is at least plausible because losing 48v will shut down the steering system and put the truck into not-gonna-drive-for-ya mode, the service bulletin is here:

https://service.tesla.com/docs/Serv...Harness_To_Address_PCS2_Harness_Retention.pdf

Most of the cybertruck is maybe not so bad to work on, but replacing this harness requires accessing the high-voltage connections buried under the tonneau system and air suspension reservoir. See instructions below:

https://service.tesla.com/docs/Cybe...UID-A46728FB-7B3F-4E09-8D32-057D591326DB.html

The harness itself is simple by automotive main wiring harness standards.

https://service.tesla.com/docs/Cybe...-DC13-4049-B34D-2B3D41296589-online-en-US.jpg

This job can be done at service centers, but it isn't a fast job and removing the tonneau system requires a special jig.

I clearly need to spell this out...
What you described happened, had nothing to do with the delivery, the "delivery" occurred when you arrived at the dealership and they presented you with the truck, and everything that took place in the dealership before you drove off. The unfortunate events that ocured once you drove away from the dealer, had NOTHING to do with the "delivery"...you follow?
SO, the title of your post "Worse delivery of my life..." is simply false.
Your sales guy nor the dealership you picked up from diserve the bad rap. This is crazy that you and all these trolls commenting on my comment don't get this.
You don't even know how to spell the deserve, it is simple that you dont get it, the truck has been delivered to him, and they delivered him bad product, so worst delivery. I do not see any problem, saying worst delivery.

Another asshole to ignore.

something I missed, I figured I'd share..at the end of this video (time stamped to the part I'm talking about) this guy shares the service paperwork, you'll notice the car was dropped off on a Saturday and he got it back on a Wednesday, that's not bad at all for the infamous harness fix, considering service is closed on Sundays. And his error is nearly exactly the same as mine, so fingers crossed.

You shouldn't be in a rush to get any first-run thing if you don't want to be subject to random chance of getting something that didn't work out as planned or designed. This is not specific to Tesla. Mach-Es were en mass under a vehicle stoppage a year ago. BZ4Xs were completely under a stop sale and replacement for several different parts. The iPace - yeah, that one from 2019 - is under recall and don't-park-under-structures order again.

Sadly, true. My desire to get the CT this year will likely put me squarely into the guinea pig camp and that part of CT ownership is not something I am looking forward to. Suffice it to say that any long trips are out of the question until the major issues are resolved. Of course, I would have to have a CT before any of this can take place

I was one of the first thousand F-150 Lightnings delivered. This thread is eerily similar to what happened with those trucks, a minority of them had a battery issue that essentially bricked the truck. Where it gets impossible to know is the percentage of trucks that have the issue, as the people with broken trucks will be posting more, looking for solutions and rightfully venting.

The good news is my truck never had the issue. I assume many CTs will never have the issue seen here either. What's interesting is the faulty part was recalled about 18 months after the truck was released, for all trucks that were early builds. As this seems to be a parts issue, not a software issue, I don't doubt that every early CT build will be recalled once they figure out this problem. It's probably the best thing that can happen to owners, I'd rather turn my truck over for a few days for a fix, then drive around a ticking time bomb. Unfortunately, the trolls will be out in full force when/if a recall happens, but I was very happy when Ford did the right thing and future proofed my truck with a fix.

Took delivery today, AWD.. made it 1 mile down road, started getting steering error, flashing red screen, pulled off side of highway now the truck is dead and I’m waiting for a tow truck. Dealer couldn’t do anything for me. It was great for 5 minutes.. tried everything, restarting, screen is stuck black and keeps beeping

tesla really rushed these trucks out, what a nightmare.

It makes me OK, I am ways away 11304, no hurries here. :) Sorry for your issues.

A defect that hasn't happened yet is known as a latent defect and is considered the worst type.
