If you disagree with something it's on you to explain or show why. What's typical are people who instead of having anything useful to contribute ask others to cite proof of common knowledge and the obvious. Do some research and then show us what evidence you were able to find pro or con. If you can't, then we can help you with that.
So now you want me to provide proof of your conjecture, instead of the other way around?

Tesla has confirmed that the Cybertruck’s stainless steel exoskeleton and unique production method will not be used on any future Tesla vehicles.
When Teddy Roosevelt was asked why he was running for President after previously stating he would not, he answered "Well when I say 'I don't want a cup of coffee' I mean that I don't want one right now, not that I don't want coffee for the rest of my life!"

It’s my personal speculation but 4/5 CTs I see on the roads are usually wrapped. Personally I like the bare SS look but couldn’t put up with the fingerprints so mine is wrapped too despite wanting to keep it bare before purchase.
I’m using Sharkhide to keep it stainless. So far, so good. I did it myself and the application is far from perfect so I need to resist my OCD to not wrap it. But fingerprints and oxidation are a non-issue.

So my guess would be in a year or two Tesla will introduce a more traditional looking truck that will appeal to the masses and get the truck guys.
Why would Tesla introduce a traditional looking electric truck when actual sales data shows that they sell in lower numbers than the Cybertruck?

Tesla Cybertruck already outsells the F-150 Lightning and it's only been out for a year. It also outsells the Rivian R1T and Chevy Silverado.

Maybe you don't get it, the best-selling electric truck in the world does not look like a legacy EV truck. It's more modern, more rugged, more efficient, drives better, has a bigger bed, is safer and has more off-road capability. Form follows function.

My dreams of a super durable SS CyberVan are crushed☹
Some of your threads and posts have incorrectly shown CT in negative lens.

Are you on this forum to buy CT or SS CyberVan? If it’s latter, it’ll be good to please not spread false narrative about CT.

Tesla doesn’t invest in traditional marketing. The onus of upholding truth and eliminating FUD is on current owners. All of the negativity around CT is because of FUD threads like this. Please don’t add more to the fuel if you are sincerely interested to buy CT.

I don't see any FUD from the OP.

Being clear there's no stainless van or other vehicle on the near horizon isn't anything to fear or doubt.

Save your vitriol for the posters who talked like the Cybertruck is going to be canceled.

First, you haven't even taken a stand of your own, that you even disagree with what I've said, much less that you have any evidence it is incorrect. Actually challenge it with something, then I can help you out with where you are mistaken.

Not to worry, the stainless steel "exoskeleton" is not structural anyway.

Again, I'm not on the hook for providing evidence for your truth claims. You are simply embarrassed that you cannot find anything to back up what you have said. I assume it's because you went back to a few instances where you thought he made a promise, and realized he said things like "I think", "I believe", "I hope".

Optimistic goals are not shareholder promises.

But you don't care; whatever it takes to save face here instead of just manning up and admitting it.

You are under the impression that a trim piece should be structural?

Does this imply that Cybertruck is also being retired? I don't know if the info in the post is a direct quote or if it is if the words were accurately chosen. The post here says, "...both will be retired with the Cybertruck." It doesn't say neither will be used for other vehicles.

"Tesla highlighted two advancements regarding the Cybertruck: the stainless steel exoskeleton and the air-bending manufacturing process, and said both will be retired with the Cybertruck."

So, you've finally taken your own stand? Then here you go. This is the earnings call where when asked if he would need to do hardware retrofits to deliver on his commitment, he admits that it will be necessary and "absolutely painful and difficult" which I hope you can grasp also means, as I said, costly.
