I never leave my windows open. The truck did it. The window goes down to open the door, and it never went back up after I closed it.
Welcome to winter.... took 3 visits and 6 weeks waiting for parts to fix on my truck. Make sure you precondition below 50F or the window sticks. BTW it also sticks closed (window up) and the window interferes with the door frame. Slam it hard = broken window.

no sir, I can tell you what happened because I see it several times a week. You accidentally pressed the window down button getting out of the vehicle. My dad and step mom both do it in their car very frequently (my dad's car is in my Tesla app) and my daughter does it occasionally, and I have done it a few times myself. Last week I had a passenger of mine who had never been in a Tesla do it. Luckily the app will tell you that a windows has been left open and you can close it from the app.
You can close it from the app in those situations, but not when the window calibration is off; it will just go back down again and send another warning.

Couple of notes about this:

1) If you have walk-away lock enabled all Tesla's will close all windows after you reach about 30 ft away. However, if the window motor stall-current sense is not calibrated correctly the window will stop. You can calibrate them all individually inside Service Mode, especially after getting your windows tinted.

2) Android phones are putting most apps into deep sleep, which causes walk-away lock to fail quite regularly. I have been managing the sleep mode/battery consumption for not just the Tesla app, but also the android-bluetooth services with very little success. You basically cannot trust the Android platform to keep the Tesla App awake these days to not have to worry about walk-away lock working. It's a huge issue in my opinion, but I don't think there is much Tesla can do about this. I've heard that Apple phones are a little different (better luck).

Got into my truck with a door and seat full of water after it rained all night. Went back and checked and the window never closed after I got out last night. Now the truck smells like a pond. Haven't noticed this happening before. At least everything still works so far. Before I got out and after I got out pictures below.
Why can't Tesla close windows in the rain? Why no app notification that it failed to close the window??

My 2024 CT sends both my wife and I text all the time, “door not closed, window open, rear cover left open, etc”

More importantly, what is your corrective action to remove the 1” of water sitting on the floor? Luckily the Cybertruck does not use carpet on the floor or you would risk a mold issue.

It's in the car under 'Lock' menu as another poster commented. I had it set but didn't get a notification nor did my wife who usually tells me when she gets them

Fortunately it was mostly on the door insert cup holder and window switches and I wiped it up and plugged in a hair dryer. Water even was under the rubber insert in the very bottom. Daughter left her moon roof open once and it ruined all the interior

I have home as an exception to walk away lock bc it also locks my X inside the garage. I don't lock cars in garage (inconvenient) and have not found a way if possible to decouple the settings between the cars. What's set on one gets changed on the other when using cloud profile (as far as I can tell)

Understandable....I use the cloud-based profile too since I have two Teslas and especially like the part where it picks up where I leave off in the middle of songs too.

Yeah, that's Florida for you (or any gulf state) I've heard the time to get something dry to keep it from growing stuff is super-short. My temperate rain forest upbringing meant it was hard to dry, but at least funk grows slow.

After sopping out the water, I'm using a ceramic heat bulb in a brooder lamp:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CPC78F2
https://www.amazon.com/Woods-Clamp-Lamp-Reflector-Guard/dp/B003XV8QOU/

Throw in a blower to get the air to the underside of the seats and poof! Dry space.

Keeping the inside just slightly warmer than the outside will give you a delta to evaporate the rest... even while it's humid outside. But your time to deal with microscopic growth in a place like Florida is limited

Good looking out, I am shocked the vehicle notifications aren't a "one stop shop." I appreciate you letting me know, I honestly didn't go through all the comments.

Okay, Gatorbaby, I just tested a theory and I am correct. If you get out, and the door is still open with the window cracked, and just bump that window switch...which is easy to do...it stays down. It happens on all the doors. Open them up while the window is cracked, just brush the lower window switch and it ain't going back up automaticity when you close the door. Mystery solved.
My in-laws keep hitting the window switch when they get in and out, STILL. This happens to my windows all the time when they visit. :(

It's worse for me, my 91-year-old mother-in-law forgets how to get out and pulls the switches up every time, pulling the manual latch....gotta love it.
