You may can calibrate the tonneau cover to remove the gap at the tailgate.![]()

Gap be-gone!! Haha!!Just dropped off my FSCT AWD for the gap.
I had a gap before this. Tesla replaced the entire tonneau cover in December 2024. No gap initially, but it came back, haha!!
Brought it in last week and they said they’d order the part to close the gap. We’ll see how it goes!!
At least I got a MX Plaid for a loaner!!
I did exactly this. I attached the service bulletin screenshot and requested service at Paramus and did not mention any leak. Then they switched it to Brooklyn a few days before my service date. When it in, they did some work but not the same as everyone here in this thread. They did the work as indicated by this paperwork:Correct. Stop mentioning water. Just ask for the service bulletin to be completed.

Here’s the photo of my gap still being here. Maybe I’ll have to do a test or wait for heavy rain to see if what they did fixed the leak issues. Finally did my water intrusion test today. (I still have the gap) Sprayed all over, hard and soft, directly into gap, rolled tons of water over it and barely got a drop in the bed. My fix was the rubber gasket seal referenced earlier on the YouTube guy did. I did it myself and works well. As suspected, that last missing slat didn’t control the water entering. It’s more aesthetic for sure. That rubber seal was the culprit on mine. Now, I might still have them fix since, aesthetically, would look cleaner. Not sure yet.
My technician said I've got the new aero cover already. He said it comes with brush on the tonneau side. Does it look different than what yall have?Does anyone know if this has become a service bulletin yet?
You need to print a copy of the “Tonneau Rework“ service bulletin and bring it in with you. It has pictures and all so you can show them yours is out of spec just like theirs is.![]()

I don’t think the service bulletin matters in every case. As you can see, I constantly referenced the service bulletin and showed them both as an attachment in the service request and also in person. They fixed the flex cable only in my case but not what others got fixed that actually resolved leaks which seems to be the appliqué, not the slats or anything else. You need to print a copy of the “Tonneau Rework“ service bulletin and bring it in with you. But the gap is still there. I wonder if this alternate fix is sufficient. What is the “harness guide “?
