Can someone please help me understand this? 370 wh/mi is awesome efficiency but this doesn’t add up to a 122kwh battery. At 405wh/mile a 122kwh battery should give the stated range of 300 miles. At 370 wh/mile it should be a lot more. Battery seems to be a lot smaller than 122kwh. Thanks

A 122 kWh battery consuming 414 Wh/mi would provide approximately 294.7 miles of range. To find this, first convert the battery capacity to watt-hours by multiplying 122 kWh by 1000, then divide this total by the consumption rate of 414 Wh/mi.

Here's the calculation:

  1. Convert kWh to Wh: 122 kWh * 1000 Wh/kWh = 122,000 Wh
  2. Calculate total range: 122,000 Wh / 414 Wh/mi = 294.686 miles
Almost 300, thats pretty close, and within margin of error.

But that’s why I believe it’s smaller, the wh/mi calculation is accurate so why do I always run out at 250 miles, like you said it should be close to 300. Only explanation is the battery pack is less than 122.

122,400*0.95 (assuming the lowest anyone world take a battery down to, 5%)=116,280/250miles=465.12wh/mile high consumption

use the energy app to tell you what your efficiency/consumption is
the main screen is a moment in time %/range
the energy app is the truth

ive shown soooo many people they are just not an efficient drivers, driving too fast and agressive
then they learn the energy app, change their behavior and then achieve these published ranges

try it and get back to us
take a 50 mile loop of streets, lights and highway
try to average 376wh/mile

You're missing all the charge lost when the truck is not moving. Look at the Park screen under Energy. That amount, 10.6% needs to be added to get your full amount used since last charged.

If you want to see what the truck's BMS is calculating for your battery size, go to the Energy Consumption screen. Multiply the efficiency over the last 200mi, 285.0Wh/mi, times the projected range, 175mi, then divide the total by the remaining SOC, 41%, and you get: 121.6kWh:

Not all 122 is usable. There is a small reserve.

I can't unpack all of this, but one factor is that there is some hidden range below zero. The exact amount will have to do with how well your battery has been self-calibrated.

The biggest factor in mileage is Driver Behavior.
Leadfooting it will kill mileage.

Great point! My guess would be 8% bottom 5% top.
