Of course, did you read mine?

Did you, or did you not say: "Apparently the recall is accurate and the wheels are susceptible to fracture if driven hard. "
Any ambiguity in my initial paragraph(s) was clarified in the more detailed recall description that ended my post. The potential for Cybertruck wheels to "fall off" was the alarm bell that initiated the recall. The wheels are connected tissue and we need them to not fall off. I hope that's clear enough for you ...

First clear look at the base AWD. I counted about 35 trucks total in the outbound lot with 2 base trucks

To be fair, some of those ~35 others could be Standard AWD with the optional $2500 upcharge 20" Core Wheels. Technically not a $59,990 configuration, but several of those *could* be $62,490 Standard AWDs.

Joe’s recent drone footage is evidence that SAWD batch production has not started.

It will be a sight to see when the TX outbound lot is full of SAWD $59,990 Cybertruck’s.

Another two were spotted on 5/11/26, so we have seen a total of 4 manufactured so far :ROFLMAO:

I imagine it is very possible that Tesla is prioritizing the orders with options (core wheels or the terrestrial armor) to help drive quarterly revenue. They have had a history of prioritizing models with options added historically.

It's almost impossible to tell if the trucks manufactured are SAWD or PAWD unless they have the 18" rims.

The two spotted on 5/11 were actually the same two trucks. But you are right, Tesla makes more money on any vehicles with options, including wheels, so they are known to prioritize those orders first. It is certainly possible the majority of those with core wheels on the lot are SAWD.

Anybody wanna edit their order and add core wheels to test that theory?? 😂

I honestly think they are on the cusp of full production of these SAWD, I'd be surprised if we don't start seeing a bunch in the lot shortly.

I can understand somewhat $2500 for upgrade to core wheels. Why the hell are they charging $3500 to go from core to mantel? There is almost no cost difference between mantel vs core. Both 20x9 cast wheels with similarly priced tires
More profit

That's why you can get a Beats in 5-7 weeks instead of months for a premium or standard. Dam it sucks being poor.
