Just received, May 29. I am RN 11323XXX. My place in line is 495,744. How can I be getting my truck now? Is everyone passing up their opportunity? Am I getting catfished somehow?
What does 'catfished' mean? I got mine earlier than expected and wondered if I was getting someone else's reject but I am very happy with my truck.

Remember that reservation number sequence does not reflect only Cybertruck but include the rest of the S3XY lineup. The estimators of place in line seem to just reflect the raw number sequence and not specific to Cybertruck. As I have stated before, in looking at the reservation tracker there were a bunch of reservations for Cybertrucks in the week after the reveal but in the following weeks the percentage of Cybertrucks reflected in the RNs seems to have dropped significantly. This leads to moving through the reservation numbers much quicker for a similar number of actual Cybertruck reservations.
No, it doesn't. The reservation numbers are only shared with other vehicles that have reservation numbers. Someone shared that information a couple of years ago. Model S3XY orders go right into the order queue.

Yeah, I also heard many good reviews, but the bad ones made me very concerned. For example, there was a report about a sharp edge causing a wrist cut injury during delivery, which required an ER visit. I have a few small kids, and their safety is a major concern for me. That's why I've been debating whether to wait or get something else. Some influential YouTubers, like 'TheSmokingFire,' also complained about their Cybertruck and said it's not worth $100k.

Safety is the #1 priority for me and my family. That's why I'm waiting to see if Tesla is going to do anything w CT sharp edges.
I think that you should go touch one yourself. A lot of people have touched my CT and no one has been sliced. I am starting to think that the people who got sliced are just stupid.

To keep kids safe in the kitchen, store knives in high places or locked drawers. Always watch them and create a safe play area. Teach kids that knives are dangerous and show safe habits. Use stove knob covers and appliance locks, and keep counters clear of sharp objects. Give kids safe, age-appropriate tasks under supervision.

You can't lock your Cybertruck. If the edges are very sharp, small kids, who are often careless and lack awareness, could get hurt. How can you prevent accidents if they play tag in the backyard? You can't always remember to move your truck.
what is this about not being able to lock your Cybertruck? It is almost the opposite. You cannot open it without the phone or car key. I had people getting close to mine at a Memorial Day BBQ and Sentry Mode was going crazy. Yesterday my wife tried to close the tailgate after I went into the house and the alarm went off. I didn't even know that Teslas have an alarm; we've driven our M3 and MY for years and nothing like that ever happened.

I'm having to move money around, and it will take a week to have my finances in order. Hopefully, I have at least 7 days.
I set up my delivery for about 2 weeks after they gave me the VIN and had no problem.

Im rn 1133x and mine came yesterday. I knew this was going to happen too, i bought a used model y at the beginning if the month thinking it was going to be at least the fall till i got my invite… i have been saving and have like $50k saved for the truck, but now they wont take the model y back and they want to offer me $10k less than i put down on it, so id be losing $10k on top of an $800/month car payment for the truck and god knows what for the insurance…. Ugh im going to have to pass for now… sorry about your hand
Although, the tri motor order says delivery in october-december which may be feasible. Anyone see the same for tri motor and get a vin like the next week? I just would hate to pay the $1000 and have them tell me 1 month later its ready…

I am RN #1143xxx and I received my invitation on 5/22. I still haven't configured my truck after reading so many bad news about it.
Don't believe everything you hear. Media posts the negatives because it gets clicks, but the truck is amazing. I have had mine since 4/24 and absolutely love it. My wife even told me it is growing on her!

Really, I didn't know either, even after 3 years of owning a Model Y. Is this a new feature in CT?

The legacy auto companies are have a terrible time selling their gasoline/diesel/electric trucks, so it makes sense that Tesla is experiencing some reduction in demand for Cybertruck. "It's the economy, stupid." --James Carville
Yep. Tho, the economy is fine - just not for selling high-priced items people expect to finance. 'Cause those terms suuuck right now.

I never heard that before. So interesting. That could really explain things if we are including other car orders too.
Well, it depends which calculator you used. This site originally linked to a Google Sheet that had a big calculation that tried to give you an ordinal number by removing the other reservations using various public information.

For that, my order was over 56,000 in line, and I ordered the first night, when he announced the price - but didn't get a reservation numbe runtil the next day. I was invited to configure a Foundation Series the second of January. So clearly, alot of people are passing and waiting just like me. We'd only expect that portion to be higher with later reservations.

Yesterday my wife tried to close the tailgate after I went into the house and the alarm went off. I didn't even know that Teslas have an alarm;
They've always had an alarm, but did you ever walk off and leave the trunk open before?
