How does one know if one received a free 6months super charge? I was invoiced for my super charge.

Looking at this quote from the about power share page I have a question:

"Currently, the only way to get Powershare equipment is to purchase a Foundation Series Cybertruck. In addition to cabin and cargo bed power outlets, all Foundation Series Cybertruck owners will receive a Powershare Mobile Connector and may be eligible to receive Powershare Home Backup hardware (Universal Wall Connector and Powershare Gateway).2"

Does anyone know what a power share mobile connector is? Is it any different from the normal mobile connector they actually gave us with delivery?

PowerShare Mobile Connector is the unit included with the FS series charging equipment. This allows for charging other EVs (Mobile PowerSharing) from the vault outlets. The connector included with the FS also functions the same as the Mobile Connector in the Tesla Shop to charge while you're at a location without a Universal/Standard Wall Connector, or without a charge station nearby. It is a different unit than the Gen 2 Mobile Connector in the Tesla Shop:

I declined the PowerShare Home Backup, and have not confirmed the PowerShare Mobile Connector actually charges other EVs from the vault outlets, but that is what I understand to be the case surrounding the CT PowerShare capabilities at this time.

Additionally, for all of us that are finally joining the Tesla club with the CT purchase, the generic NEMA 14-30 male to 14-50 female "dogbone" cord adapters DO NOT WORK with the PowerShare Mobile Connector you receive with the CT and the 14-50 adapter pigtail attached. This is the dogbone in reference:

User claims/reviews on products stating they work with the Gen 2 unit are probably true, but I personally confirmed last night they do not. I have yet to try a Gen 2 adapter piece, but will probably be buying the adapter kit with my Home Backup voucher and will confirm at a later date.

You will be for bout a month until they activate it. However, this new $2500 credit may change things and signal that we are not getting the free supercharging at all. I'm still verifying.

Why won't Tesla let us order the accessories and ship it when they're back in stock? Or let us use the $2500 like a regular gift card instead of using it all at once in single transaction! I don't understand..

So if I want to be able to charge another Tesla, I'll need to have the mobile adapter that came with the Cybertruck? Cant confirm nor deny. In theory, the Gen 2 would work when plugged into the 240v vault outlet, but I know for certain the adapter whips and PowerShare Mobile Connector does more than just adapt to plugs. I have an unused 30A dryer circuit in my garage that I extended over a few feet for charging. Threw a 50A outlet on it to allow the included 14-50 adapter to be plugged in, adjusted the amperage in the app to 26A, and thought all would be well for L2 charging. No go. In theory, adjusting the amperage in the app to 26A would allow the thing to kick on and go regardless of what adapter is being used, but that is not the case.

To double check everything, I swapped the 50A receptacle to a 30A, plugged in a 14-30 x (4) 110v standard receptacle adapter dogbone that I had from way back, used the 5-15 Tesla adapter on the Mobile Connector, and was reading 240v in and the app auto-adjusted amperage to 12A. This leads me to believe the adapter whip that is being used talks to the mobile connector controller after energization and tells it where to be.

Adjusting amperage with the Gen 2 MC may have worked with the 14-30x14-50 dogbone, but it does not work with the PowerShare MC.

I am waiting for the PowerShare Home Backup voucher to purchase the Universal Wall Connector to connect to a different, unused 40A circuit in the garage, so I was making due with what I have available for now.

I received it as well, even though I was previously told that I don't qualify for powershare install, and will get 6 months of free turbochaging instead.

I picked up my cybertruck on May 24, and so far I had to pay for charging. I went to the service center to check on that, and they said that Tesla will activate the free charging within a month of delivery, and that this is not something the SC can do.

Does this email mean that I won't get the six-month free charging?

Interesting. I'll have to experiment with the various connections I have and report back. My garage setup is a Gen 1 wall connector on a 100A circuit, and a Nema 14-50 plug on a 50A circuit. I used the Gen 1 mobile connector that came with my '16 Model X to charge the Cybertruck with no issues before I sold the Model X. Now I'm using the mobile connector that came with the truck in the 50A circuit. My wife uses the Gen 1 wall connector for her '21 model Y, so I'll try out the Gen 1 wall connector, whatever Gen mobile connector that came with the '21 model Y to charge the Truck and both mobile connectors to charge the Model Y from the bed.

Word! I am going to wait until I can get everything I want without wasting any of that voucher.

I have a $350 Tesla shop credit I got when I took delivery in March I’ve been holding onto for the underseat storage. Even with notifications, if you don’t order as soon as you see the email they’ll be out of stock within 15 minutes. The problem with the credit is you have to hope everything you want is in stock cause you only get to use it for one transaction and anything left over is gone.
