Agreed.

Non-FS Cybertruck's might start production in Q3 or Q4 the way things look.

I predicted FS trucks will be produced through December but I don't think Tesla will have enough buyers at the $100k/$120k MSRP level to support production, especially if they hit the 2500 week target.

10,000 CT's rolling out of the TX assembly plant every month is significant.

CT's will be everywhere soon!!!
NOT Australia! ?

I wonder how to get FSD and still claim $7500 tax credit. Does anybody know whether we can add FSD later for the price we locked in during reservation. I locked FSD at $7K. Tesla said they will honor, but I think they will do that only while ordering, but that'll cross the Federal Tax credit limit.

If the CT FSD price stays at $8K for everyone after ordering non-FS AWD, then I don't mind losing $1K and get FSD later. I just have to keep my fingers crossed for the price to not increase.
Software options don't count toward $80k limit to get the tax credit so you can add FSD at the time of purchase and Tesla should still give you 7500 tax credit at the point of sale.

NOT Australia! ?
Somebody asked Elon directly during the meeting about when Cybertrucks would be made available in other markets and he said "We might be able to certify it for other markets next year."

So after they scale to this 2500 per week number, efficiencies of scale should allow them to swallow the cost of localising for Australia is my guess.

Lets see... some freehand guessing...

Let's call it an average of 900/week from January - May. That's 22 x 900 = 19,800 FS CTs so far.
Let's call it 1,750/week from June - September. That's 17 x 1,750 = 29,750 FS CTs more being built before they transition to non-foundation series. Do they stop making them there at 49,550? Let's round that up to 50,000. That number makes sense. Perhaps not everyone who reserved will get a chance to order the Foundation series but Tesla has to cut that off at some point.

Question is, does Tesla continue making Foundation CTs into the 4th quarter alongside non-Foundation series or do a wholesale switch? I don't recall Elon saying they were going to STOP making Foundation series but rather they were going to START making non-Foundation series trucks.

What say you, my fellow prognosticators?

I wonder if it will get to my RN now? 1173xxx — that sounded like they were about done and moving on next quarter
I'm 1131 and waiting for my vin since may 23. Doesn't look like a ramp up to me. Typical vin wait has been roughly a month for us common folk.

Elon Musk says during today's annual shareholder meeting (see video below) that Foundation Series production ends soon and that non-Foundation Series Cybertruck production / deliveries will start next quarter (Q3 2024):

And statement from Tesla:

Made the impossible possible with Cybertruck.
Our goal is to ramp production to 2500 units/week by end of year

Thanks for sharing this, very welcome news! I'm still on the fence, and this actually makes it harder - wasn't happy with the Foundation Edition upsell, but ... the power wall and FSD would be nice to have so maybe I will suck it up and order before they switch to non FE.

Non-FS next quarter?
This is exciting news. I got my invite to configure a couple weeks ago, but didn't want to pay FS pricing. I always estimated that I would get the truck next year based on my reservation number. So if I could potentially get it this year that would be awesome!

I wonder if people who gave received FS invites but have not placed an order will get first dibs on the standard builds, or if they will reset the queue.
I bet it will reset the queue. My 11/27/19 preorder will definitely take a while to get if I don’t pick up the foundation series. Took 5 months to get my invite to order FS. With non-FS. It will be more people

If the $7500 tax credit applies to the non-FS $80k AWD version we are talking $72,500.

That‘s a major savings of $27,500 over the FS trim.
Not a savings. Just money not spent plus a $7500 savings. When all is considered I want my CB ASAP, regardless of differences betwn FS and non FS. And, luckily I want all the options on the FS AWD
