I never really noticed any meaningful difference in my Model 3. I used to use them on roadtrips, but after I noticed they left scratches on my wheels, I quit using them.I see about 5% benefit on longer, faster road trips in my Model 3. At speeds above 90 mph I can feel the difference in terms of how fast the car slows down when I let off the throttle. The wheel covers add a nice little amount of extra slipperiness. I don't expect to be able to feel in it in the Cybertruck (since it's less aero to begin with).
A lot of people don't notice any difference in the feel of the Aero covers at speeds above 90 mph. Most of them never drive over 90 mph either. The colder the air is, the more pronounced the effect, and the more likely you are to be able to tell the difference (if you switch back and forth between Aero covers and bare wheels) on a Model 3. On a Cybertruck I think the relative benefit of the Aero covers will only be about half as large.I never really noticed any meaningful difference in my Model 3. I hope Cybertruck covers don't damage the wheels
I think it just refers to the image of the re-designed covers installed (finally).Hey @admin, why does this topic say “installed” (as in last tense)?
Yeah but I keep on suckering in to recheck it, expecting to see actual forum members with them installed on their truck, not just in the queue for it. It’s nice to get the email but all reservation holders are technically in the queue for it; the email just makes it seem a little more real for those with their trucks.I think it just refers to the image of the re-designed covers installed (finally).
It is. I got an email saying that I will be notified when to bring my truck in.Assuming these are NOT from Tesla Official
I received an email on Friday notifying me they are being shipped.Soooo does this mean that we'll all be getting these in the mail? Will we get an email verifying shipping?

How much do yall speculate they'll help with efficiency?
About as much as a sticker on the vehicle, lol. Any aero efficiency probably negated by the addition of unsprung weight (more negative effect than weight added anywhere else on vehicle). Disclaimer, I'm speculating based on education, but am no Tesla engineer.Soooo does this mean that we'll all be getting these in the mail? Will we get an email verifying shipping?

Removing and Installing Wheel Covers (tesla.com)How do they install?
1) Do they clip to the circumference
of the rim and can therefore be aligned with the tire design?
2) Do they clip into the center heptagon or spokes and therefore the tires need to be rotated to match up with the design?
