I just received my non foundation CT 2 weeks ago. If it wasn’t for being out of town for the holidays, I would have delayed my delivery date to the last day of the money, cause I knew last minute shit like this was gonna happen lol

If you click the 3 bar drop down in the app (top right) select your profile then select wallet. It should show there just like I attached. I haven’t used it yet but received an email saying it is now a Tesla credit that can be used up over the following year until next December if I remember right. Since my SC unlimited just ran out I plan on trying it out with my next charge.
I’m doing a cross country road trip in 3 weeks for an upcoming move and was really hoping the unlimited charging would have been good for it but it is what it is I guess. At least I can hopefully use up some of these credits. Nothing in the Tesla store is worth it for me other than the tent but I’m not paying $3000 for one.

Thanks, I found it but can't set to default. Will try and remove credit card next and see if it will use it then. Won't be able to use for a while as my CT has been in shop a while, again.

Check out your Tesla App -> Charging -> Manage Payment --> Choose Payment Method. My $2500 credits have been converted to Tesla Credits last month and I was able to use it for supercharge. I didn't do anything on my end. Tesla sent me an email of this change. Based on my understanding, this credit needs to be spent by the end of 2025.

Edit: just noticed that the above post also mentioned that you can check it out in your Wallet as well.

I found it!! In app, Charging, select manage payment, Tesla Credits, done.

If inowned a strip mall I wouldn’t piss people off by giving different deals. I may pay for renovations for one if it needs it but I wouldn’t offer free renovations for life. Your analogy doesn’t make sense.

Do you make deals like, free water with rent? Or another utility that doesn't cost you alot but you can get them to put a bigger down payment?'

My credit is still a code in an email, nothing in my Wallet, $0.00 in the Store. ?

Just an observation of someone who’s had Tesla’s for a while

Having owned a 6xxx VIN model S from before the majority of Tesla owners I’ve seen quite a change in Tesla.

I understand that everyone will have had their own unique experience but my early time with Tesla was, for lack of a better word, magical.

The purchasing experience was drastically different than picking up my truck, which was like what seems to be every other Tesla now, efficient. Definitely not special, or even much an experience. More like placing your order for pick up at the grocery store.

Bringing my car in for service was an incredible experience. Everyone that I encountered went out of their way to make sure my experience was second to none, and it was.

At that time all Tesla’s came with free supercharging for the lifetime of the car.

I may be remembering this wrong but there was a time when I think Elon had said that supercharging would always be free for Tesla’s. Not just the ones sold at that time but all Tesla’s.

At the time this appeared to be more their plan than a sales lever to be pulled. Talk of it being built into the cost of the car.

I understand that things change and that they are a for profit company, but still disappointing to see some of that magic disappear. It was why I’ve purchased 4 Tesla’s.

I still love the cars and the driving experience. The truck is awesome!

I’m still disappointed in the not getting the free supercharging though on the truck.
I find that with free supercharging I just get in the car and drive. If a road trip is going to cost me $500 in charging fees, it’s still a lot cheaper than gas but it enters into the mental equation. Sometimes it changes the trip sometimes not.

If Tesla was going to be successful to large numbers. Well not everyone is Thurston Howell the Third. So with that fun stuff like flatbeading your car to another city for warranty repairs while a loaner was dropped off at work. That was all an illusion for the next act.

I would have bought a foundation series. We bought FSD. The purpose of our CT is for road trips, camping, overloading, etc. Supercharging will be the primary form of charging. we have a 3 and Y for everyday driving.

I guess I’ll have to make up for it by putting the difference I saved into $TSLA. I’m sure I’ll end up ahead anyways. Would have been cool still to have a truck that costs nothing to adventure with.

Hehe, people with the fat bank accounts love their perks. That's why they are so often handed to them. The whole Foundation Series gimmick was to appeal to them as they did with the early Model S to get that six figures. I agree with Defiant, this time round it was mostly a miss. We even had to provide our own forum to feel special because this time Tesla didn't bother. ?

I am scheduled to take delivery of a non-FS Cybertruck on the 31st.

Now I am considering switching to the FS with free supercharging.

We were going to transfer FSD from a 2018 Model 3 to our non-FS Cybertruck, but we plan to keep the M3 for another 100,000 miles. Our 10 yr supercharging costs on the Cybertruck are estimated to be ~$12,000 based on our current charging patterns, but could be more as we do more road trips.

Seems like it works out for our situation:
We keep the FSD on our M3 ($8000) , and we get supercharging (~$12,000+ value to us). Don’t see many downsides to this.

For the FS owners out there, how do you like the white interior and cyber wheels? Any other considerations ?
