Do the left panel (solar/PW) and right panel (backed up) both feed from the Gateway and the middle panel has the non-backed up loads?
Or is it 200A service and everything runs through the Gateway main breaker?

No, you're right, this is where I get out of my depth with US power, I'm more used to UK specs Each breaker box (2 & 3) has a 200amp main breaker, but the feed from the street is 200amps, the main meter is a 200CL.

Ok, that all makes sense then. The full panels were the result of planning to have backed up and non backed up loads?

Yes, essentially, although the entire set-up is a bit complicated. There's 2 sub-panels inside the house (one for the kitchen, the other for infrastructure), and another for the warehouse/design studio that was built a couple of years ago. But yes, it was always built with solar & PW in mind, it's just difficult to get the electrical contractor at the time to care that much about a future project they won't be involved in.

Hey can you share your quote via screenshots? If Qmerit wasn't involved how was your electrician able to be paid? I was talking to a certified electrician as well prior to getting the qmerit email from Tesla, but I don't know how to bypass Qmerit.

The quote I got was $7k for a heavy loads install.

How did you simulate the grid failure? I have my equipment installed and the updates to the app and truck UI, but I wasn't sure how to test it.

Turn off the main breaker in the Gateway or the breaker feeding the Gateway, if it doesn't have a main breaker.
