Cybertruck side mirror vs Garage Door. How much to fix side mirror?

Just like the title says…the mirror loss! So, I know have broken driver side mirror and trying to get an idea of how much it will cost to fix it? Had this happened to anyone else and what did you do to fix it?

Right now I’m debating on taking them off but there are not a lot of choices to plug the whole quickly. The 2 eBay options I seen will take a week and a half to get to me.

I called Tesla customer service and they told me to schedule service but couldn’t tell me how much a new mirror would cost.

Does anyone have an idea of how much it would cost? Or if there is a quick option to cover the holes while I work this mess of a situation out.

I have seen a few used ones complete on offer up for $600
Each. Also a few people on here have made 3s printed deletes if you do a search. Not sure how quick they would come or if maybe people who have done that would want to sale there’s.

Replaced my passenger side mirror in April. Part was $365, labor was $159.75, labor hours was 0.71. Total cost $524.75

Maybe you could just put some aftermarket caps on them like these:

It still works but the shroud around the mirror is broken and the part that holds the mirror which attaches to the arm is cracked. If I could get like a shell of the whole mirror that would be great. I’m going to remove them today to see how far I can break it down.

You can most likely mirror delete with decent success, but I'm personally waiting for Tesla to modify the FOV for the side repeater digital camera to also display at least a portion of the rear of the vehicle.

In other words, when you currently turn on your signal it stops displaying the rear view and only shows you the side of the signal. This is obviously not ideal.

Maybe you can try to mirror delete just that one and see how it goes?

I had a bad mirror on delivery. They replaced both. Charges were very similar to this but, of course, covered under warranty.

At one point, I got tired of my appointment getting pushed back so I got a quote from my local Tesla collision center. $850. So I waited..

Just curious if you had the mirrors set to" fold at home"?

They don't fold a lot, but enough to give you a couple of extra inches on each side. Mine fold up just prior to entering the garage, pretty cool feature.

I did the same thing to my mirror backing into my garage the first day I got it (wasn’t used to the fast steering yet). I used epoxy to put it back together and got a new mirror from Tesla for $365. You can opt to install it yourself and save the labor. It’s super easy to replace. I now have my mirrors auto-fold when I get home…

Great to hear because I have about 3.5" on each side with the mirrors folded to be able to back into the garage.
