That math doesn't math. I think you're getting things mixed up - when you tow, you're stuck with the trailer's aerodynamic drag, which is why they were all very similar while towing the same load. But a 200kWh pack (over 60% larger than the Cybertruck's) isn't going to go 500 miles at a consumption of 1.3kWh per mile. Yeah, it'll go further - but whenever you're empty you'll be lugging that pack around, costing you 40 watthours more per mile, so you'll have to charge 10% longer to get back the same miles.

Correct they charged the Sierra one time, the other 3 had to be charged 3-4 times. It was a clear advantage for towing to the Sierra. I’ll find it and post the review, it is extremely long.

It's not for us. But plenty of people out there you road trip a lot. I couldn't imagine supercharging just to save electricity at home. Time is always more valuable.
Time at superchargers doesn't need to be lost time. You don't have to just sit there and watch the gauges. Tesla also offsets all supercharger energy use with renewables, unlike at home where my power company only allowed me to install solar up to a percentage of historical usage.

That's nonsense. And I'm not wading through hours of video to find the one frame that proves you right or wrong. A citation says where in the source the answer lies.

Scrubbing through I see them charging the Silverado at an hour and fifteen.

I made the mistake of selling 7 bitcoin to buy my wife’s Honda minivan in 2017…had I simply borrowed dollars back then, I could have had a few cyber beasts for free.
Don’t feel bad. The first ever purchase with Bitcoin was a pizza for 10,000BTC.

Most expensive pizza ever ?

There's multiple testers showing the same thing. The Silverado has a much bigger battery and charges at a higher rate. It won the tow race by a large margin.

Laszlo was a clever fella. Started gpu mining when the rest of us were using CPUs.

That said, I didn’t make the same mistake twice: CT was 2.25 bitcoin the day I had to buy mine and after adding $30k ish finance charge for a dollar loan over 5 years or whatever, the price is now like 1.8 bitcoin…it’s kinda like a built in variably growing discount…without which I would not have bought CT. 2.25 bitcoin is just too pricey.

If you waste your time at superchargers you are doing it wrong. ?
This is a good point.

I’m surprised how little charging I actually need. I can charge on the 12 amp, 120 volt 95+% of the time without issue. But I don’t drive a ton. And I happen to have 240v, 40 amp circuits outside the house in the front and in the back garage, so I can charge 5-6x faster when/if needed. The only time i would need to supercharge is for rather far road trips or if I planned poorly and forgot to charge for a few days. I Randomly ran across an 80A third party charger on Amazon for $250, and while I have a free circuit in the back garage for it (I think circuit is meant for AC, which I don’t have), I just don’t need to charge at 19KW…

Just like I posted. Use your App, click on the three bar icon, Charging, manage payment, click on Tesla Voucher. There you go. All set ready to use your voucher of $2500 for Super Charging.

It has a bigger battery. It can not tow for 500 miles at 1.3kWh per mile.

Yes, it can charge faster longer. But it at minimum uses 10% more energy and has to charge that big battery back up in long stops. Stops that are not usually overnight.

I have the old 80A wall connector on a 100A circuit because my old Model S has the dual 40A chargers and can do 19.2kW. It made sense at the time because they were doing it along with the solar panels and all that wiring, and the whole thing qualified for the 30% tax credit. The max for the Cybertruck though is 11.5kW because the onboard charger only goes to 48A. Its new mobile charger only does 32A, while the one that came with the S goes to 48A.

Sadly, my efforts to futureproof failed because the Powershare gateway has to be at the main panel not at the subpanel out by the charger. Retrenching for another run would be much too expensive to make it worthwhile so I bought a good generator extension and powerstrip, a wayyyyyy cheaper jerry rig for real emergencies. I've tested it with my boiler and refrigerator, and the current draw ought to be good for more than 5 days. We seldom have power outages here and they very rarely last more than a few hours, but if you've paid for VTL you might as well be ready to use it.

How can we start a petition? I have never tweeted before. But the more I think about it just really does not settle well. When I first purchased my Model X in 2019 it did not come with free supercharging then like a week after I purchased it they came out with free supercharging promotion. I called Tesla and they actually gave me the free supercharging promotion. So it can be done. I purchased my foundation late so I'm pretty upset.

There used to be an option to message an executive at Tesla from the app. I used it to complain about the Model 3 price drop in 2019 and they gave me FUSC and FSD (I bought EAP).

Good to know the max is not much higher than what I can already do. For my needs, I can use a supercharger on rare occasions; double my max rate won’t be a game changer, but it’s nice to have a 32A, 240v option. 40 or 48 A isn’t much of an improvement.

Yes, Tesla failed with at home charging with the CT. I have the old 80amp wall charger and wired it to 100amp breakers and truck only goes to 48 no matter wjat you throw at it. Sad, i was anticipating the higher amp ability for the truck.
