Im really interested in finding out the size of the seats and overall interior volume.
I find the X seats to be ok but they are nowhere near the quality of an F150 Raptor for example and under bolstered for the performance
I'm really curious about the interior as well. I haven't sat in an X, but my Y is okay for me. Obviously a larger interior is preferred. I'd also like to know if/how much the back seats will recline. My kids would complain the back seats were a bit too upright in my Ram but the Y's are better. I guess I'm just hoping it equal to or better than what I have now.

Hmmm, If I was an engineer working at Austin, I sure as hell would know if the Frunk is more Ford Lightning vs the Rivian.
We have seen pictures showing the frunk lid include the vertical front piece on the pre-prod model.

When you're heavily involved in a project, the answer is almost certainly going to be "kinda, but I'll be fired if I talk about it."

What the person asking the question is thinking: "will I be able to lift things into the frunk without having to lift over an excessively high lip?"

What an engineer is thinking: "the lid kinda wraps around the cargo volume reasonably well, the dimensions are similar but not exact, ours is shaped like a trapezoid, we left out the 110VAC inverter that Ford provides for charging your tools, and I'll be fired if I say the wrong thing in public. Is that Ford-style or not?"

An integrated inverter would be a big deal for me. That's one of the big things the F150 Hybrid has going for it -- even though I already have a hybrid pickup truck.

The Model Y interior fits my family great -- except that the 3rd row seats are little-kid sized.

A 2-row pickup interior that's just like the Model Y would suit me just fine. A 3-row van/wagon interior with a bigger 3rd-row seat would also suit me just fine.

Also, keep the stalks from the Model Y. The Model Y has already cut the fat and some of the muscle from the interior layout, and so cutting it further isn't a win.

Start of production could be as little as establishing VIN numbers and getting plates printed for them. Or finalizing the owners manual. But it's encouraging

It's definitely not June.
Like you know any more than anyone else? When someone says "definitely" I expect a source. The OP was humble enough to say that the source was unverified. All anyone else has said is that they are happy and that it makes sense wrt the timeline.

I wonder if Tesla even considered an integrated inverter.
And, if so, what is the additional cost?

I do, lol. I'm not going to risk losing my job to please you or the forum. July is a much better "guess" like the comment I replied to stated.

Sooo close but seem so far. I have been waiting since 2019. All good from here. Great to hear positive news.

Tesla won't just have an inverter. It will be an Octo-inverter. Sandy will faint when he sees it.

A friend of mine bought a mach-E vs a model Y after test driving both. He said the same thing. The seats made the difference for him.

... and then Cory will tell us that casting the Octo-Inverter from unobtanium is at least 37% more efficient than GM's Hummer's converter housing.
