Unfortunatley I am not the only one that will be driving it (at least on weekends) and certain people ( who shall not be named) are lets say ... not as carefull about hitting stationary objects as i am. The MY ( With USS) has been pretty accurate with distance to object. The Vision replacement is garbage. There is suppose ot be an update to "Vision" coming to address these issues but its a show stopper for me since Vision is currently worse then no sensors at all.
Yeah, I get that...my mom's Y is giving her challenges with vision only!

My wife doesnt drive my truck! :)....for good reason!

Well technically you could drive your moon buggy accross from the dark side and see the earth rise over the horizon. If you keep going it would go across the sky and end in a "earthset".

Next riddle: how long is a lunar day, so one full rotation?
29-1/2 Earth days

I think I am going to start offering Cybertruck reality grief counseling. Seems like a lot of us are going to see a reality that is less than our expectations.
Haha. Can I go ahead and preorder me some counseling? :)

to be fair to Tesla, many of those expectations have been set by a vocal minority of people who had no f’n clue what they’re talking about

Tesla’s biggest fault in that, is giving those people 4 years to snake-oil people into a dis-reality

Absolutely.

But given that the last few years have been a "rough ride" globally, I think a lot of people needed somewhere to escape to to smoke their hopium. Now it's just time to wake up and smell the daises.

Despite this, I for one still want my CT snake oil though bro. :)

Well in that case. I think it’s going to smell like daisies!

If the Tri-Motor option can't tow 14,000, it will not be able to compete with 3/4 ton pickups. Most construction vehicles commonly tow over 12,000 lbs. Mini excavator and trailer equal 6 ton.

whether it tows 14k or not, the versions being released on Nov 30 won’t be directly competing with anyone who actually needs a 3/4 ton pickup

Someday they might offer a version that tows 14k, but the CT will still have less cabin room (and seating) than a 3/4 ton, less bed cargo room, and a restricted (if not impossible) ability to tow goose neck, etc.

This CyberTruck is competing for a more profitable market segment - something about as big as a midsized truck, but nearly as spacious and with more cargo room than any 1/2 ton ICE truck

that’s a pretty large and compelling market - both midsize and 1/2 ton segments.

Rivian is too price
Very interesting. If true CT frunk is about half the size of F-150 Lightning. Bed length is barely over 6 feet, so I can’t lie down in the vault. Outlets are nice in the rear. No air compressor in sight. No front outlets that we know of. Hurry up November 30th!
Frunks no big deal.i can count on 2 fingers the times ive opened my model 3 frunk.both times were to show somebody what was under the front hood.bed will suit my purpose .hauling plywood, car parts, tires and rims, plants, bags od bark and sand.icechests.occasional sofas for neighbors,AND NO! YOU CANNOT BORROW IT TO HELP YOU MOVE! Rent a damn U-Haul!
Oh, and for the features you discussed, sounds about right. I want performance and tech. If that comes in a 223.2X79.9 footprint, cool. Works for me. If the back window doesn't roll, slide, fold, or make an origami swan, ok. If the frunk doesn't have outlets, I wasn't expecting them. If it has outlets in the bed, Ok, I might use them someday. If the frunk has no net, I can live with it. If it has Annette Funicello, well, that's creepy cause she died like 10 years ago. What the heck is she doing in my frunk. Honest officer, I bought the truck this way! I think the dash is comically large. So what. I don't lament that there isn't storage under there because I've seen that Tesla stuffed a bunch of systems stuff under there. It's not wasted space, there is stuff there!

I've said it a ton, I'm not here for a "truck", I'm buying the Cyber part of it. I'm buying the vision of what this vehicle was intended and turned out to be. I'm buying something "different" from everything else. I'm buying something that makes me smile. But I'm not emotionally invested in the CT. If the price isn't justified by the CT in my mind, then I'll wait for the M3+P/L. Maybe that one will. If not, the MSP certainly does. And with any of the 3 choices, I'll be happy. Ask my wife, I research the living crap out of this kind of purchase. I try very hard to avoid any emotional attachment until I'm handed the keys. By doing so I can walk away and find a better deal, or a better car somewhere else. All without shedding a tear. Heck, I thought a while back I was going to get a BMW electric. I researched the crap out of it, saw it first hand, and said "Not ready for prime time". Turned my back and walked away. Never looked back once. Towing and weight are not issues for me. If you tell me 4.0 0-60 is the best Tesla is ever going to get in the CT, well then, peace out.

I'm just appreciative that someone found this and put it out for us to consume. So thank you. I'm trying to commit every number to memory now. And I know there is a chance at least one of the numbers won't be the same when the timer up and to the right of this post hits 00:00:00:00. I'll live through that too.
4.0. Zero to 60 is fast! For a truck?? WAY FAST!

It seems to be. But as I said, I'm buying the Cyber, and not so much the truck. At about the same price-ish neighborhood, I've got a M3+P, a MS, and a MSPlaid. at 3.3, 3.1, and 1.99 seconds. And that is fast-ER. I was born with a "go fast" gene. So at 4.0, I'm looking at one of the other 3.

No one in their right mind does a space saver spare on a full size truck.

Although probably all true, you really just burst my CT wish bubble
