3) Lack of USS . Having the extra cameras and changed positions, I hope they can finally release a 360 view for the CT. The lack of USS is a big concern on a truck , The vision replacement is garbage on the cars (so far) , A 360 view can go a long way to eliminating its shortcomings .
I don't know if it's enough for a 360 view but CT's bumper cam should solve the front blindspot issue on current USS-less cars.

Take the Tesla Brand and FSD away from ther CT and stick it on the F-150 or R1-T. Do you still buy the CT ?
In that scenario, it would make the F-150 a bit more appealing but it's a lot of the small and seemingly inconsequential things about CT that make me second-guess it at times.

Where Tesla excels is in their end-to-end engineering, design (not styling), and packaging. When Elon says that CT will be a "tech bandwagon" I'm suspecting that it will be for technology revolutions that the end-customer won't be directly interfacing with or the average person won't readily appreciate. It is that which has always made it difficult for me to be willing to purchase a Tesla until now with the current versions of the S/X and Model 3 Highland - they are much more fully formed now compared to when they entered production.

On CT, the features that continue to bother me are the driver's display (which was on the CyberRodeo version) and the tailgate not being electro-mechanical. To me, these are features that make the driving experience more pleasant and provide greater utility - like the falcon wing doors on an X it makes things feel like an event - more special. My concern is CT being more of a stainless steel Model Y with additional capability and a bed - best in class but still not fully baked.

Toyota has an amazing 360 overhead view on their truck. I loved it. Way better than 4 video boxes.

So if you are on one spot on the moon, and that spot doesn't turn away from the earth, like the earth does to the moon, then how can the position of earth relative to your static position change on the moon horizon? Imagine you were standing on a stationary spacecraft instead of a rotating earth. Would you get a a sunrise or sunset, if you didn't spin on your own axis in relation to the sun?
Because the moon is still rotating around EARTH. So you still have earthrise.

yes

and so, standing on that face, the earth never rises or sets

imagine the sun was in the middle of the sky, and the earth was locked. Sun would never move from its position in the sky
Dude how are we in sync like this?
Is it a residual effect from that Vulcan mind meld Spock gave us back in the 80's when he visted earth or what? Vulcan hi- ? man!

It's happening like every week now.

Saying the same thing at the exact same minute, from different sides of the planet, to the same Cyberman, on some random car forum, talking about moon conspiracies? Bazinga! What are the odds?? Lol.

Wasn't the shot taken from Apollo? Wasn't Apollo orbiting the moon?

Just asking for a friend.

Ok...take a step back, all the way to the opposite side of the moon, and then have a look if you can see the earth rise.

Because none of us here on earth have ever seen the other side of the moon with our naked eyes, except for supposedly the Apollo astronauts that circled the moon. And of course photos of the "dark side" of the moon.

So when would the earth rise on the dark side? I'm sure you'll find a calculator online for that...not. ?

Yeah the Apollo command module stayed in orbit while the lunar module landed. That was such a good movie at the time, that they remade it later with Tom Hsnks, but they didn't get him to land on the moon in that one, because the special effects were to expensive for hi-def TV. ;)?

Pretty disappointed with the 72.8” bed length.
Wish the power outlets were higher capacity along with outlets in the frunk.
If this is accurate, could have bought a Lightning with similar to better specs.

Rick
Seems that box size is bigger on CT plus 120/240 has more power .. not less. The 2 kW suggestion is plain wrong .. it will likely be 12 kW. The 120 volt plugs are also 20 amp .. so really nice for power tools!

You are correct. But is there a spot on the moon where you could get an "earthrise" shot? I think so, just not a video of it moving across the sky.

Well technically you could drive your moon buggy accross from the dark side and see the earth rise over the horizon. If you keep going it would go across the sky and end in a "earthset".

Next riddle: how long is a lunar day, so one full rotation?

1000 mile CT regular cab.

Back seat converted to battery storage and spare tire storage.

Feel free to share this on X @greggertruck
Must be the solar cover version I keep hearing about, the one that slides up into the roof instead of under the bed, so then you can have a mid gate.

BREAKING.
