Zero regrets. Worth more than every penny. This is my first EV, first pickup, first vehicle that didn't feel like I was sitting on 17 different systems that were all deteriorating at different rates. I just drive around, looking at all the antique cars...
Isn't that the truth. For traditional automobile manufacturers, software is a 4 letter word. Tesla was the first and the remains the best at making software defined vehicles at scale.

At this stage I’m not sure. Need to spend more time with it to fully form my opinion. FSD is impressive though.

No Regrets! No wait! Maybe having to wait so many years for the right one? One day.

My only regret isnt so much regret as much as it is resentment.

i just wish tesla put about 50% more stock in quality. Also wish that service did not change from the high quality “white glove” customer oriented arm of the company to “aim to prove it is the customer’s fault or at minimum claim the complaint is a normal characteristic or not reproducible unless you cant” I think that their motto of “the best service is no service” would make sense if the parts and manufacturing quality was there to support it.

overall, the truck as a whole is awesome when it works. It just has a whole lot of very expensive potential points of failure that will make the person using this as their daily driver outside of warranty pucker up big time.

No one likes regret as it reflects poor judgment. Because it was so radically different is so many ways, some problems were inevitable. Things like the panel adhesive problems were Tesla engineering mistakes that only time would reveal. The cause(s) of the PCS debacle are still unclear but Tesla Engineering has to own up to that one as well. It seems most of those early VIN issues have been resolved but only time will tell. My Feb 2026 build seems solid but at times I think I may be just "whistling through the graveyard".

With such low production numbers (relative to projections) engineering/manufacturing issues are slower to emerge. If the entire Cybertruck program is a write off, then we may never know what could have been possible with the design and that is a shame. It may have been just to different to ever succeed in the conventional pickup truck space in the automotive world.

No regrets only a few points of irritation. But overall I really enjoy and appreciate the vehicle.

I’m about to place an order for a Cybertruck. I’ve owned two EVs and no ICEVs for a few years now, so I understand what EV ownership entails, including long trip travel.

The question is not about owning an EV. Rather it’s about owning the Cybertruck. Does anyone have any regrets and would rather he hadn’t bought it. If so, could you list your reasons.

Thank you.
NO REGRETS!!
This is a fun vehicle. It has its quirks that could be corrected, like the rear camera that gets obscured in the rain, the rear view mirror that would best be a real digital rearview mirror, etc. but overall it is an amazing machine that is fun to drive and is very functional.

two+ years in and no substantive issues. but am concerned about the PCS. This is once heck of a platform with 48v, 123kwh battery, crazy efficient and SBW. Tesla should build a full-size SUV on this platform otherwise all the great engineering that has been done is underleveraged.
