Based on the stock market crash, maybe Tesla should avoid roadmaps?

I am happy to see the tie downs instead of the triangular cutout tie downs.

My poor husky is not pleased there is no indication of a midgate that was never promised

Speculation on the loss of the center front seat. I am bummed if this is the case. If losing 16% of seating, I expect a 16% reduction in price…? I am not convinced yet it is gone.

The 4x6 bed must at least be a quarter wider and longer to lay a 4’ wide sheet flat. I did not see a flip stop on the tailgate. Did anyone make one out?

Those who receive delivery first, don’t forget to PM me your address. I am coming over with questions and a measuring tape.
You are right, Elon said there would be some kind of pass through from the cab to the bed, and he pretty much said there would be a tailgate stop for long items, and no one from Tesla has said anything about the middle front seat. All of these things are pure speculation.

No one is floating the idea/possibility that the open space up there is for the tonneau cover to roll up into? Maybe they engineering challenge of having both a folding midgate AND a rollaway tonneau cover was too complicated...so the cover now hides up into the roof area??
Does that explain the lack of light passing through the "roof" area into the cabin?

That means a powered tailgate, and maybe 'Frunkgate'(?)
'Tell him he's Deamin'
It might just be the tailgate release since there isn't one on the tailgate.

Did anyone really want a rwd truck?
People can’t seem to get it out of their heads that Cybertruck is not just about replacing consumer trucks. It’s about replacing all pickup trucks. Absolutely massive number out there in fleets. Fleet buyers tend to be much more price conscious for obvious reasons.

There will be a low end/ SR Cybertruck. Whether it’s RWD only or AWD remains to be seen, but people who write it off aren’t paying attention to the narrative. Tesla is planning on selling massive numbers of Cybertrucks. The only way you sell vehicles in the millions is by pricing them aggressively. Fancy quad motor trucks are not going to be the bulk of these vehicles.

What prices/ configurations does Tesla need in order to sell millions of trucks a year? That’s the end goal. Not this year, but within 5 years.

they aren’t “pure” speculation

@greggertruck was standing next to the truck, hearing this from Tesla reps

admit that’s not the same reliability as released specs, but also not exactly “pure” speculation

also appears to square with photographs and related evidence

so while I wouldn’t squabble with the assertion that it’s not over until the fat lady sings, I would also say she’s been heard warming up backstage

Dual motor is the answer to your question.

No. This is not for the vault cover to stash into. It would not fit (and it’s a stupid idea to put the cover inside the truck regardless).

Your interpretation of a perceived implication of my example is 100% unrelated to my intended message. But there is an 85% chance that it won't matter.

It is the very sharp edge of the tailgate. Right where your crotch is when you are loading blocks into the truck.
Right where your crotch is was when you are loading blocks into the truck.

There. Fixed it for you.

Or right where your kid’s heads are when chasing each other around the driveway

PS: called it ;)

Curiously, the new prototype’s change would seem to make for an oddly shaped tailgate, with double the number of corners when down:

For the homies that are stressing about the tailgate. The one in the original demo BARELY went past flat. Pretty much all the angle is from the extended ramp/the suspension. Still on the table

No he didn’t say passthru or tailgate stop would be added.

He made some vague comments along the lines of “thats an interesting idea”.
