Mine flew off in transit before I even took delivery. So add one more to that list. (Still waiting on delivery too)I believe this is the 3rd time this issue has been posted to this forum? Maybe there are more. I am guessing another recall might be coming. This could kill someone on a motorcycle.
Join the club I lost mine. Also this piece of shit vehicle needs to go back and be put together in the fashion of what $100,000 vehicle should beI was leaving home this morning, opened the vault to put my lunchbox, when I got to work and went to open the vault, I couldn’t find the buttons or the panel it was mounted to. I’m assuming it flew off on the freeway. I hope it didn’t hit anyone. Now that’s concerning!!![]()
My Beast is perfect after 1500 miles. Less than 1% of the trucks built have problems.I gotta quit reading this site, it's giving me anxiety. I haven't picked up or paid for this thing yet. Starting to feel like I'm getting that wink wink deal on a 73 restored International Scout. ?
This part isn't metal; it's a plastic access panel.I saw my first Cybertruck in Dallas while I was out on my CBR1100. It was an experience. I tried to get closer, but the truck flung a metal spear at me. ... I am of course kidding. Losing a long sharp metal body piece is pretty scary to the folks behind. Hopefully no one has been hurt.
I also had the same experience. I noticed it wasn’t flat and similarly just snapped it down. All good now. After reading this thread and also seeing a Facebook post from a Cybertruck group, I thought I'd check my rails. I had seen a short video from someone (I'm trying to find it, but can't so far) who showed how to run your fingers along the length of the rail and pressing down to make sure all the clips are snapped. I took a look at my left rail from the tailgate POV and noticed it wasn't quite flat. There were a couple of gentle bumps. I then used my fingers to gently press down as I moved up the rail and felt 2 firm clicks as the clips snapped into place! Then I checked the right rail, and found one clip that I snapped into place! Thanks to this forum, I hope I was able to prevent a flyaway rail, because I found these 3 clips that weren't even snapped in.
Sort of the same thing at speed, but I was just kidding. Some Tesla folks have no sense of humor. I am awaiting my Cybertruck. I got an email in May saying that my (#220,000 in line) truck was available for me as a foundation series, but I am unwilling to pay 20k more that the non foundation series for it.This part isn't metal; it's a plastic access panel.

same here aside from the Bed divider not seating properly in the middle third of the bed—Tesla finally rectified it tho!My Beast is perfect after 1500 miles. Less than 1% of the trucks built have problems.
