"The hitch receiver is designed to support vertical loads up to 160 lb (72 kg) "

This would help explain all the issues others have had towing stuff.

I have a trip in December to take our ATV to the park. I'm now worried about towing anything?A 'MAX' of 160 pounds sounds insane. I could step on the top of the trailer and break it, based on these numbers.

Is this number perhaps wrong?
And disbelief is the correct reaction. I've towed several thousand pounds with my CT, always with ~10% on the hitch, for several thousand miles. I've not had a problem yet. I WOULD like to see someone make some mirror extensions for towing, but the repeater cameras have gotten me by well enough so far. I'm planning two cross-continental trips next year, with my travel trailer, now that I've had a chance to do some towing test runs with my cargo trailer. Mirrors aside, it pulls loads effortlessly, and I've noticed much less tendency to sway or react to wind than with other towing vehicles I've owned before.

Check out the ButterEV channel on YouTube. He's posted a bunch of videos about his CT towing experiences.
